Block a call found in the "Recent" call log.

I can no longer block a number by tapping on it . I was able to open my recent call log, tap on the unwanted number and then open the menu (3 dots) and then select block call and it would add the selected number to the blocked call list. I can no longer do this. Now I have to copy the number and manually enter it into the blocked call list. This is tedious and time consuming. I have been using the Note 8 since October 7 and I have used that convenient feature many times. I don't know when it changed, I can tell you that I don't like it. Is there a way to fix this?
I apologize if this has been addressed already.

I haven't seen it from the call log since my Note 5. It's not as easy as that was, but try this:

1. From recent calls, tap the # you want to block, then tap "Details"

2. Then tap the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner:

3. Block the # (says "Block contact" if they're a contact, otherwise says "Block number"):
