I held off buying N8 over same concern.

Holding it is fine, and it's just a tad l larger than an S8+.
I like that it has less slipped edge and the squared off corners make it seem.karger along with more room.

The case you choose can have a big impact in how large it is to hold.

I don't like bug rubber numbers. Wish I could do without any but that not practical either. So I went with slim hard cover this time.

On order:

I went from S8+ to Note 8.at first I didn't because of the smaller battery but after awhile I just couldn't help myself. The Note brings so much more to the table than the S line. They are both amazing but the Note just that extra. The pen and the various it brings really is amazing and even if you only use it occasionally, it pays off. You get used to the size in a couple of days. You won't regret it.

Cases make a big difference and Bear Motion is so minimal it is easy to hold, no bulk, closest to none. Not for stoppers.

Like it very much.

I like this cases and tried several of them. Finally tried Samsung's Alcantara case and it is damn great. Very slim and easy to hold. It's the perfect case I used on any phone.

I loved my Note 4 and, to a lesser extent, my Note 5 (battery life poor). Used my S-pen on a daily basis. It was just such a shock when I broke out the old Note 4 for a few days... Felt ridiculously huge! One thing about this S8 is that it's the perfect feel in hand. I sure do miss that beasty Note experience though. You're right... Nothing quite like the Note experience. :) Have probably already decided to trade for the Note if my friend is still up for it when he gets back from a business trip.

Went from S8 to Note 8 and considering going back. There is a major size difference between the 2 (S8 not S8+).

The Note is phenomenal but sometimes I want something easier to use one handed. I like the Note while I'm at work since I utilize it's features, but enjoy the S8 in every other situation.

S8 for going on a walk and as a music play or handy phone. The Note is my tablet replacement and acts like a laptop when in DeX.

Buy Note from ATT and get Galaxy S8 - not free but it wss tempting. Also some $300-400 trade deals going on.

Well, I went from the S8+ to the Note 8, not mich difference. But..went From the S7 Edge to the Note 7 when that came out. At first it felt huge, but I adjusted quickly. Partly depends if you have a general preference for larger or smaller form phones.

Yes, this S8 is absolutely a perfect in hand feel for the screen size.

I just switched from an S8 (regular) to the Note 8. It took me 4 weeks and multiple trips to Best Buy in AT&T to decide on the Note 8. 80% of the time that I held the Note 8, I thought it was too big. The last trip I made to AT&T, I decided to make the jump. So far, I love it! I use one hand for most of the operations of the phone, and so far I can do pretty much everything like that. The bigger screen is awesome.

I loved the SO and I was a little wary about jumping to the Note. A friend of mine has an S8+ and I handled it for a little while and was sold. I have big hands so I don't do much finger gymnastics, got used to the size really quick

Has anyone come from the S8 and if so, did you have issues with the size? I've had 2 Notes in the past. Had to use my old Note 4 a few weeks ago because of an issue with Oreo Beta and it felt like a huge brick. Going to Best Buy to play around with the Note 8 to see how it feels. Just wondered if anyone had personal experience with that particular change.

Honestly I would just say if you like to use your phone one handed a lot then is stuck with the s8. Unless your Shaq you can't use it one handed with much luck.

What is your budget? If budget is not your priority then iPhone X is better phone . It has capability of recording 4k at 60fps best camera ,performance ,battery and all . But if you need android then go for Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Samsung Galaxy Note 8 - Full phone information and complete description of the specifications

I went from S8 to Note 8. S8 was just to small for me. I had a Pixel XL prior so was use to bigger, this fits me perfect.

I had the S8 Plus (still do) before the Note 8. For me I didn't notice much difference except with 6gb the Note 8 seems snappier and the spen. Otherwise, the phones are nearly identical to hold imo and very similar in general.

If I didn't care about Spen I would just stick with the S8 Plus.

If you're thinking about the Note 8 or s8 I'd wait and see what the S9 is like. It could be out by the end of Jan. possibly now. If you want spen I'd certainly take the Note 8 over the s9. S9 except for slightly new processor is basically same phone as the Note 8.
