So far from seeing what S8 is getting with its Oreo update, there is nothing that good that we need it now in the Note 8. I am a happy user as long as Note 8 gets its security update until the Oreo update :)

I had Oreo on my Pixel XL. It's not that it has nothing new to offer, but having had it and then moving to the N8 with 7.1, there's absolutely nothing that I've missed in day-to-day usage.

My recommendation is not to lose any sleep whatsoever about exactly when Oreo will land for the N8.

Supposedly there's some more optimizations and battery life improvements so we will see. TouchWiz gets the bump to 9.0 also.

Having had Oreo for a while on my Pixel, I am more interested in what Samsung brings in the new version of the UX. *Hopefully* they continue their move toward simplicity/lighter weight.
