    Had same issue on my Tab A6, only thing that worked was a full factory reset.
    Happy to hear that worked for you.

    For me, and many others, a reset has been done many times, over months. No dice.

    not sure how or why, but all of a sudden yesterday everything started to work smoothly again. I was literally preparing to do a factory reset yesterday, but the problem mysteriously fixed itself. Google app and all extensions of it working smoothly without causing any glitches or system/Samsung UI errors. I've been testing it pretty heavily since yesterday and everything seems A OK now. I'm truly confused, but happy obviously. Hope that those suffering with Google issues have the same luck soon.

    Thank you for all your detailed posts on this matter. I guess it's unclear whether it was a hardware problem, or a software problem somehow tied to your IMEI and possibly your Google/Samsung/carrier accounts--or even a problem that just coincidentally got resolved after the exchange. In any case, glad all's well now.

    Hope it helps others.

    In my testing, I removed many variables, including using alternate Google and Samsung accounts, turning off wifi and all BT devices in my home, countless Factory resets, limited app installs, no migration of apps/data/settings during resets, and on/on. I gathered info here, on the Google Product forum and the Samsung Product forum. I learned a lot! Best guess that I'd make as of now is that the firmware underlying the OS somehow became corrupt.

    That said, there's no accounting for all of the reports people shared with me about exchanges, repairs, and even changing to a different brand/model that didn't work - their issues persisted. For others, it started one day and a day/week/month later it just goes away. For me, an exchange was the ticket.
