Ads with sound in Galaxy Apps app

Thanks for looking. What a pain if a glitch or some AT&T f-up on the update.

I'm on an Exynos and not in the US so no carrier interference. Unknown Sources show up on search so... And I don't have an S8 (S9).... Just didn't think of the differences. Oh well.

Just to see what it would do... I downloaded adguard directly from their site and then ran app after download and all it asked was if I wanted to install and it installed.

Smh... Didn't have to enable any unknown sources option I guess to install a non Google play downloaded app.

In Oreo look in Settings -> Apps -> 3 dots -> Special Access -> Install unknown apps

Anyways back on topic... Just wanted to thank for link and decided to try adguard and checked Samsung Apps app and... No annoying sound!!

I'll do the free trial and see if I like it. The only concern is it gave a notification that the app was using my battery... I just hope it's not telling me it's a battery hog.

Use an adblocker such as Adguard Pro. I haven't had this problem with these ads with Adguard Pro running on my phone. I keep it running 24/7 so it blocks ads in apps and my browser. You get it from adguard.com/apk and not the play store.

I installed it and I like it. So much I installed it on my iPad and PC to test on sites that have been giving me a huge problem with slowdown/lag/ads and really helped with all those areas compared to what I was using before. Just the licensing cost... SO... Googling AdGuard discount I found something to share if anyone is interested....

$29.99 (Actually $24 with Promo Code shown in pic) Adguard Premium Key Lifetime Subscription... Includes use w/ 2 computers & 2 Android devices.

When you break it down per device, I am ok with the cost for lifetime I'll install on my laptop and PC. It's normally $100 or 150 dollars on the Adguard site.

What i did with the very first license I owned until they had the Xmas sale was to just buy a one year sub. When the Xmas sale started, I simply went to the site and upgraded my license to the unlimited. Since it was now on sale, it cost about $5 to do so it was still much cheaper then buying the lifetime license.

Excellent! I will not use an Android phone ever again without running Adguard. I tell people about it every time I read a post where they're complaining about ads especially in apps. For a few apps that exist, the ads are so bad that I think they built the app just to make money from the ads served and the functionality of the app is secondary.

That's the one (kinda) Don! It's just a lot more detailed now - you get to select which apps, not just "all"! Thank you 'bbgpsuser'

How did you get the promo code to work? Every time I try to order there is no input field for it and it wants to charge the $29

Yeah, i think it was screen right before submitting the payment method there was a faint looking link somewhere to the right(?) that said something like redeem code. I had to exit out of paying and go through cart again to catch it.

It didn't have the place to enter the promo code for me but I still bought it anyway
