My battery doesn't seem to be lasting as long as it use to. I don't have a lot of apps installed. I wonder If Samsung is throttling the battery with updates. Sorry if this thread already exists.

If you have facebook + messenger, try disabling/uninstalling and just use the actual web link.

Clear app cache after you uninstall that.

I have exactly the same problem, despite trying a factory reset and reinstalling the firmware fresh. using Facebook app doesn't seem to make much of a difference, it's rubbish anyway. I do restrict background use for the Facebook app though. 3 hour screen on is absolute maximum I can ever achieve now and I normally have to charge when I get home from work. I used to get a good hour more than that and never needed to charge during the day. its the primary reason I will change my phone after a year as I don't think the battery will last two

Samsung is throttling the battery? I never heard of such a thing. Wasn't it Apple slowing down the clock speeds on their older phones to make their batteries last longer?
Anyways, have you checked your battery stats? It should tell you what percentage of your battery each active app is using.

Go into settings, device maintenance and click on the battery icon on the bottom left of your screen. In there you will be able to optimize your battery usage as well as find out what is using it the most.

I still get about 1h SoT and 2h on battery for every 10% of battery usage and am only using high performance mode, as of now I have 4.14 SoT an 8.20 on battery with 52% left, give or take a bit from day to day

I am pretty sure Samsung is doing something to the battery. My last phone was the Note 4 and it got to where the phone would not charge the battery over 69%. Since I could remove the battery I could charge it to 100% if I used a separate charger. However, the phone would use up the battery quickly and factory reset would not fix it.
Let me add that a friend of mine also had a Note 4 and experienced the exact same problem.

I have not changed my phone use habits and yesterday I had to connect to a charger twice at work and again when I got home. It usually lasts the whole day. It's 1pm and I'm at 37%. Usually near 50-60 around this time. A few similar posts in the reddit sub too. I feel like something is happening.
