Note 8 echo during call in safe mode but not when using speaker phone

After a screen replacement, other people hear themselves when talking to me. This happens in safe mode. It does not happen when using speaker phone.

I suggest you contact whoever did the screen replacement and ask them to redo it - properly this time. There are pieces put into the phone that look as if they have no purpose - but they're to prevent echo. (Some not-too-experienced "repair people" just leave them out. Like paper covers over non-conducting [but sound reflective] plastic.)

As Mustang asked, do you have wifi calling on? If so, turn it to cellular preferred or off.

Also OP do you have a case on your phone?
