Hi @mustang7757,

I have an AT&T Galaxy Note 9 (SM-N960U)
I am using it in Asia outside of US so i think its unlocked

I was on (Android version: 8.1.0) N960USQS1ARL2 , so i wanted to upgrade to Android version: 9.0 (N960USQU1CSAA)

I downloaded the update from firmware.science and applied the update via SD Card method.

I am now successfully upgraded to PIE.

My question is how do i move forward from here now ?

As you can see on the AT&T they are listing almost 10 more updates after (N960USQU1CSAA)

https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...Samsung%26model%3DSamsungN960U&token=9h97LxOt

Can you guide how to install these further updates ?

Your help would be much appreciated.

Best Regards.

This is the steps :

Windows computer needed

Latest Odin can Google it and download should be 3.13.1 or 3.14.1

Download samfirm v0.4.1 tool , extract it with 7zip.

You will extract files for Odin once download with 7zip and will do same for firmware with 7zip .

There will be 4 files after you extract the firmware

BL

AP

CP

CSC

Each of those files will go in Odin when you open to the corresponding slots

BL

AP

CP

CSC USE HOME CSC FIILE TO SAVE DATA

Home data slot dont put nothing

connect your phone with cable to computer , once the files are in its slots hit start, once done you'll see pass in Odin and it will reboot

My picture shows circle on what you need to do

Put your model number, region select check for updates , then download the Rom , extract the Rom with 7zip

Make sure phone is in download mode by holding power/bixby/volume down button sane time after rebooting the device then select continue.

The other thing to point out samfirm tool doesn't give Att firmware , so you need to put your device model and tmobile for region , use TMB so you can be on the latest.

Only one I know who can get Att firmware is @Ruben Ocasio but its up to him if wants to give or not ...

But the tmobile firmware will work .

Hi,
Thanks for this information.

I have some questions:

So does this T-Mobile version works perfectly fine with ATT Note 9 ?

Will my local carrier still be working after this update ?

How much time would it take for this process to complete ?

I can just skip all the updates and just flash the latest firmware ?

Regards

All carriers firmware are universal, the problem is is if you flash tmobile and att is on a different build number you cant get OTA updates when you check software updates in settings , you have to flash new version when security update comes out but it only takes 10 minutes and done .

So you can do this and everything will work fine

I don't get any OTA updates anyways as you have to be on an ATT network for that and i am located in Pakistan and using a different carrier.
I am gonna try this out today.
I haven't flashed ever before so a bit scared as well but i am gonna give it a try...
Will let you know after the update (hopefully a successful one )

Thanks

I understand being scared first time , just read over my direction , and worse thing it will do is not load if you do something wrong , just retry .
Its really easy once u get the hang of it , but let me know
