No I never got any notification telling me my phone was overheating....
I don't think that's it because I turned on airplane mode to turn off wireless and nothing changed. Nothing changed at all.
This started after I upgraded from Android 9 to Android 10. Something went wrong. I don't understand what happened.
Furthermore, I just set my phone down to go to the bathroom, grab a snack, and do a few things, and came back a few hours later in my phone had actually lost 16% charge while it was plugged in and it was really hot when I picked it up. Something isn't right. The whole top of the phone is hot.
Also you should keep in mind that when I first found my phone like this, It was off because the battery drained while it was plugged in charging. Even though it was off, and the battery was drained, it was still overheating from trying to charge even though it was off. It couldn't have been the wireless overheating because the phone wasn't even on. This only started after I installed Android 10. What the heck could have possibly done this?!
Also I don't think this is an app problem anymore. This happened after I installed the update. I think something went wrong with the update.
I found this:

Is this what I'm going to have to do? Clear the cache and if that doesn't work, reset?
What happens if I clear the cache? Is that going to blank out all my logins and passwords and I'll have to log back into everything? Will that delete anything?
I'm trying to prepare for the worst by trying to figure out how to back up my phone, but I can't figure out how to backup all these folders.
