Wifi connection problems

I'm having Note 9 problems connecting to Wifi.

Is this on your home WiFi only, or on any WiFi?

Try resetting network in settings or possibly your WiFi router

Oh, not only that... but the wifi icon in the top right corner of the phone display has an "!"

Did you already try the Reset Network Settings option that mustang7757 suggested?

Try also wiping the cache partition: https://www.hardreset.info/devices/samsung/samsung-galaxy-note-9/wipe-cache/

You also went through the troubleshooting steps in my wi-fi guide that Laura Knotek shared above?

Checking my router... it says two devices are sharing the same ip

Are you using Dynamic or Static IPs on your devices? Make sure it's Dynamic.

Wiped cache partition. Not work.

It's on dynamic IP.

Done most thing on the Guide link.

Ah, there you go. VPNs can often block certain kinds of traffic.

I've had it happen a couple of times on mine. Most of them time I turn my wi-fi on the phone off and then back on and it connects. Occasionally though I have to go to settings>connections>reset connections to get it back online. Hate that part though. Have to reconnect everything again including Bluetooth. Thank goodness it's only occasionally.

Hmm, what were you doing with the router? That seems a bit unusual for it to trigger an alert from your Google account.

Are you unable to turn off the VPN, at least just as a test?
