Tmo sight says this

Seems to be the best deal ATM. Hope other carriers match this promo.IMG1913455945998752450.jpg

Starting to think JOD really isn't worth it any more.
That's an understatement. Who would put down that much money if they were going to turn it in in a few months? Does outright EIP exist without a down payment, either?

Haven't seen any phones, new anyway, that didn't have a down payment. I was thinking of trading in my s8 Active for this but now I may just ride it out until the end and pay it off. JOD really doesn't provide any benefit to me at this point.

If you're trading in a Note8, T-Mobile gives you $500 off via 24 monthly bill credits. So if you only keep your phone for a year before upgrading again, you only get $250 off (because you'll have to pay off the remaining balance when you sell or trade your Note 9 in a year).

So if you plan to upgrade yearly, seems like it's better to sell your Note8 on eBay now instead of trading it in to T-Mobile.

I have JUMP. When I got my Note 8, my Note 5 was paid off. I had to make a "down payment", it was over $200. Since they wanted so little for my Note 5, around $159, I decided to keep it as back up. It was worth more then that.

Now the Note 5 is worth the $500 trade in for this offer and it's still in good condition. I owe $390 on my Note 8. I could trade in my Note 5 and keep my Note 8 as a back up device. But the Note 9 didn't really wow me Too much.

Never mind. I got the pricing here.

T-Mobile

128GB Galaxy Note 9: $279.99 down and $30 per month for 24 months on EIP
512GB Galaxy Note 9: $529.99 down and $30 per month for 24 months on EIP

T-Mobile is taking pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 9 starting tonight at 9:01 pm PT. It will also release the device on August 24. The 128GB and 512GB models cost $999 and $1,249 respectively at full retail. The 128GB model is $30 per month for 24 months on T-Mobile’s 24 month EIP plan and $40 per month for 18 months on its JOD plan. The 512GB Galaxy Note 8 is $30 per month for 24 months. It’s not available on the JOD plan.
