Hooper here too! I've been doing well recently though, having my Mate 9 for almost a year. I'm itching though. I use to be a Note fan but don't like Touchwize that much. Tempting though.

I'm a phone hopper; always have been

Been though the iPhone 8 Plus (twice); Galaxy Note 8 (twice) and S8 Plus (twice) as well as a Nexus 6 and 6P and now using a Pixel 2 XL and Pixel XL for my phones...

I'm moving on from the Pixel 2XL to the Note 9; I really miss the quality of the screen from my Note 8 in comparison, but will keep my Pixel XL as I want at least one Vanilla Android phone

Now that Samsung have calmed down their bloat; I find their phones very good. Just don't like the overly curved screens of the S range; hence going for the Note 9 as it's a flatter screen, like the Note 8

Hello my name is chuck and i am a phone hopper.

I thought Pixel had me slowed down to at least yearly episodes of swapping and the Pixel 3 is looking to change that. I have been through and iPhone X back to Pixel 2 X to Pixel XL and now to an iPhone SE. I have been savingup money and one new phone purchase will be coming before Christmas. What is the best 1000 dollar phone to throw my dollars at?

Have a Pixel XL, Note 8, Pixel 2 XL, iPhone X, and S9+ right now. I really want to make the jump to the Note 9 and trade in my Note 8 and sell off a couple of the others. The extra battery capacity and 512GB of memory are very compelling BUT I only buy black phones. I cannot understand why Samsung would not offer the Note 9 in black at launch in the US. So, as much as I have the itch, I just can't pull the trigger. I've had it in my cart more than a few times ready to submit the order and I just can't do it.

I used to be a HUGE hopper during the Great Smartphone Wars (2009-2011). Kept switching between whatever the latest and greatest phone was (BlackBerry, Apple, Moto, Samsung, HTC, etc). Every 3 months or so. I shudder at how much money I pissed away doing it, but it was fun for sure! Since the iPhone dropped on Verizon its been my primary, but I've always kept an Android as a secondary or work phone. I now work for a company that uses GSuite so having the Note 9 will be perfect. I have always loved the Note series (owned 2, 4, 7) and cannot wait for the 9. I'm using an S8 and it's far too small.

I have had too many to list and right now I have the One Plus 6. Thought I would have kept it for a while but I always keep coming back to Samsung. It's my cross to bear.

I am hoping I will be able to keep this one for a while. Of course, I say that with every phone. Ugh.

I'm using the s8 right now as the s9 didn't bring enough new to the table for my wants and needs.

After having hands on experience with the Note 9 I'll be buying one.

It'll be my 1st ever Note phone too.

Will I get the s10 ? Possibly if it brings more than the Note 9 to my wants and needs tick boxes.

I've had all the Note's including the 5 (bought the 920C and CD versions from a reseller in Ireland as we never got them here in the UK); but obviously not the 7 as they deemed the UK to not be good enough users for the Note at that time... That blew up in their face, literally!

I've loved all the Note's; think the 3 was my favourite of the original ones; the 5 was very good, but with no SD extension, too limited (stupid idea) and I loved the 8, but was hankering after the Pixel 2 XL; so sold the Note 8 and bought my current Pixel 2 XL (which is moving on for the Note 9)

I've had the Pixel 2 XL, iPhone X, and Samsung Galaxy S9+ this year. I had the S8, S8+, Note 8, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone X, and Pixel 2 XL last year. I know a thing or two about jumping from device to device. I'm definitely looking forward to the Note 9. That'll be the first phone I'll keep for a year.

I've been on every Galaxy and every Note until the 7...gave that back and went to Pixel XL.. I'm on pixel xl2 abs becoming disenchanted because of a serious lag - but I've been happier for longer with Pixel than any Samsung (usually itching for something new at about 6 months because of the infamous Samsung lag that inevitably happens around that time...) But heard a reviewer saying the s8 and s9 seemed to have the lag "worked out"..

I don’t notice lag with the S9+, but I do notice the micro sd, 3.5 jack and good sounding stereo speakers

The notch on the Pixel 3 XL looks horrendous. I'm using an iPhone X right now. I'm so over notches.

The Note 7 is still the greatest phone I've ever owned to date. Bar none. Besides the battery fiasco, it was literally the perfect smartphone.

It's quite good but I still like Note 8 more (will be Note 9 soon)
