Do you just use the Samsung Notes app? Or something else?

    - Google Keep?
    - Microsoft One Note?
    - Evernote?
    - ???

What about them do you like most vs other apps in the context of handwritten notes?

I've heard many good things about Squid.

OneNote has just so many capabilities in terms of handwriting notes that it's hard to rival. It can do pages, subpages, supports Microsoft Ink... It's been doing electronic handwriting for nealy 10 years and was built with full support for WACOM technology since it was built for that in the first place.

Of course sure, the Android App isn't yet as fully capable as the desktop app, but it's getting there.

I used one note on my tablet pc back in school to take notes. Back then, the mobile version was terrible. Haven't really touched the mobile version since but I'll be trying it out soon. I have it installed and played with it briefly and it already looks not capable than I remember. I'm looking to integrate it into note taking for work. I don't know if the mobile version can access the file if I keep it in a Google drive account I set up for work. I used to keep my school notes on a Google drive folder so I can access it from any of my computers.

Can you convert the handwriting after the fact in OneNote? Ie. Not on the fly as that's pretty slow and disrupts the flow.

OneNote syncs to OneDrive. It uses a proprietary format. You'd have to import your notes to it, and export it out in a different format if you want to use something else.

Yes. Although not sure on the mobile version, but you can convert it on the Desktop version once your notes sync. You just select the handwriting and use the Ink to Text tool.

I noticed that for the app. So I set up a one drive account using my work gmail account. Stupid thing is trying to force me into a 365 account. Turns out I can share from the pc side, so I shared to my personal Android account. It appears to be syncing fine. While I intend to do most of my note taking on my laptop, having it on my phone will allow me to look at my notes when I'm away from my laptop and wrote notes on my phone off I'm presenting during a meeting so others won't have to see my notes on screen. This should be really cool.
