For some reason since I changed my keyboard to Swiftkey...my GIFs are posting as links rather than the animation GIFs... That’s no fun lol,.. Anyone else? Thanks.

Posting as links in what app? I have Swiftkey and the GIFs work fine still. I just tested 3 or 4 apps.

Oh sorry...in text msgs. I thought it worked but tried 3 or 4 times and different ones. Stickers work fine.

With swiftkey its dependent on the gif size. If you're under 1mb it's fine I believe but anything over that goes as a link.

Not sure. I don't have this issue with Swiftkey. I do use Textra and not Samsung Messages, but I have not had any issues with GIFs in any app with Swiftkey

Never had the problem on my Note 8. Maybe it depends on your carrier's limit on message size.

It's SwiftKey. It did this on my Note 8. They updated the app and it's been like this for a while when texting from the Samsung messaging app

Darn it! One thing gets better one thing gets worse LOL. Now to decide if I'm changing my keyboard back to something else. Probably won't as gifs are no biggie but hubby and I like to do them back and forth haha

I looks like it is the combination of SwiftKey with the native Samsung messaging app. I tried same on my Note 8 and saw the links.

If I use Textra, SwiftKey sends the GIFs.

I haven’t used Swiftkey in quite a while. For now I switch between the stock keyboard and Gboard. If you haven’t tried Gboard yet, you may want to give it a try.

Haven’t heard of that one. I tend to stick with not overly modifying my phone. Where would I find that....thanks.
