You're right, never thought I'd hear anyone like where and how fps on Note 8 (or S8+)).

It's faster and easy to use. Plus biometric iris + face is improvised

I actually don't like the FPS location on the note9. I liked the location on the 8 better....
I don't have a Note 9, but I have an S8. From my experience with the S8 and just eyeballing the S9/Note 9, it's just too close to the camera. Needs to be a little lower. Then it's perfect.

I dont mind it a bit, having it in the center. Was used to the note 8 position, and used to this one now.

I'm using the Samsung S view case on my phone and I have it set up so the phone just turns on when I lift the cover. I don't like using the FPS on this phone. I do like the layout on the S9+.

The FPS didn't bother me on the Note8 or the Note9. I adjusted as soon as I started using the phone but I did notice that the FPS on the Note9 is a lot more responsive than the Note8.

I have small fingers so it works well for me...except when my nails get too long ha ha. But I can see those with big fingers having a problem.

I like Note 9's better, easier to place my finger accurately. For Note 8 almost 50% of the time I need to scan at least two times to be successful

I can deal with both but prefer the note 9 placement with it being a little further down the phone and centered. Using it one handed feels a little more secure to me as the phone feels more balanced.

Placing the FPS beside the camera was their reason why I skipped the Note 8, sold the S8+ quickly. Unlike the S series I love the Note and first time I didn't upgrade.

My only complaint is I want Round FPS.

I like the round look on some phones but it would look funny on a rectangle phone with rectangular cameras as well. Glad they went with the squared look.
