Can you link to that option? All I see is 24 payment plan. I see no 300 off on full price payment. They do have 200 off unlocked full price. I tried to buy on their app and website but only 300 off option is 24 payments.

Looks like it's changed, because I noticed it no longer offers direct purchase at the sale price.

For those wondering, Best Buy’s promo price is always an instant down payment. I decided to go the cheapest route and get the 64GB Pixel 3XL for $499 on Black Friday. It was $400 off at Best Buy which was too good of a deal to pass up. Today I checked the My Verizon app. The attached image is what it looks like:

I will never ever EVER buy another phone through a Verizon promotion ever again until they change how they do things. I will only buy from Best Buy Mobile now.

Most people that got this deal can now just pay off the phone through Verizon for $499.

Same thing Verizon said, in addition, if you pay it off early, you pay the retail price not the sale price.

Here is what I did. I just paid off my Pixel 3XL today and I’m probably going to sell it. I bought it from Best Buy when they had $400 off. It appeared as a $400 down payment on my bill. I agreed to the monthly payments. Blah blah. Fast forward to today. I wanted to pay off the phone. I called Verizon. They said in order to pay it off, you have to go to a Verizon store and pay off the remainder in cash. So I went to my bank, pulled out $499 and went back to the Verizon store and paid it off. My account now says there is zero balance on my Pixel 3XL.

It worked then for that deal. My customer service agent repeatedly claimed it would not work now for this deal.

It says it right in the fine print:

“Verizon Device Payment. Total Sale Price $699.99. Total Price $999.99. Samsung Galaxy S9 (SKU: 6191404). Installment billing plan: Verizon Device Payment. Total Sale Price $492. Total Price $792. Samsung Galaxy S9+ (SKU: 6191412). Installment billing plan: Verizon Device Payment. Total Sale Price $612. Total Price $912. Savings are deducted off the full total price of the device and are reflected in reduced monthly payments over the life of the device. Promotion does not apply to one-time payment activation.”

There is no language in here that states the $300 savings are spread over 24 months. It’s a down payment and then you have reduced monthly payments. I would go into Best Buy and speak to an actual mobile rep and confirm. I am about to head to Best Buy in an hour to pick up a Note 9. I will confirm with you. You better move fast though. This $300 off deal ends tonight.

    Yes it does.

"Savings are deducted off the full total price of the device and are reflected in reduced monthly payments over the life of the device. Promotion does not apply to one-time payment activation."

In this case the life of the device is 24 months.

No. What that mean is that $300 is taken off the full retail price and then the remainder $699 is divided into 24 payments. Reduced monthly payments. It is not a bill credit. It’s a reduced monthly payment.

When you get the phone it will show $699 is still due and that you made a $300 down payment.

It says nothing about a down payment.

At Best Buy now, both mobile reps confirmed that it’s a down payment. They laughed and said it’s a down payment. Not that spread over 24 months nonsense that Verizon pulls. They said it works the same as the Pixel 3 XL’s $400 off deal. He completely explained it. $999.99. Best Buy takes off $300. What I am financing over 24 months is $699.99.

You better run your butt to Best Buy before it closes.

Then ask them what savings reduced over the life of the device means?

Exactly what I explained to you earlier bro. $699.99 spread over 24 months. It is not a bill credit. You are financing a lesser amount so the monthly bill is less for the life of 24 months

I get it, but I don't do payments, I prefer to buy it outright. So if you decided to pay it off tomorrow, would you be paying the $700 or the $1000?
