Love Bixby!

I know that I am in the minority but I love Bixby, you need to know what it does but once you know, it works as designed.

I didnt even try it, remapped my button to Google Assistant straight out the box.

Exactly! And there's really no rhyme or reason for that. Bixby should be the same or better on the Note 9.

No, it actually runs things like setting alarm or other hardware, in addition to dialing out from contacts which works better than Google assistant.

Right? What happened to Bixby 2.0? My experience got worse with the Note 9 so I stopped using it.

To me to move because of an Ai Assistant is extreme.

Bixby button can now be set to activate only after a certain button press or remap the button.

Bixby is a very small part of the phones features etc !

I loved bixby on the s8. The note 9 not so much, there is something seriously wrong. I can't even teach bixby how I spell my son's name. Which is retarded because that is my most frequent contact yet bixby can't even find it because it defaults to the other spelling of his name.

Google Assistant can do what you mentioned above, or even better, for example:

When I ask Google Assistant to call my girlfriend, it will ask who is my girlfriend and it will remember the response and save the info at my girlfriend contact on my phone. So next time when i say call my grilfriend, Google Assistant will call the contact number directly.

I can ask Google Assistant to play a specific playlist in my Spotify.

I can ask Google Assistant what is the song I am listening to.

I can ask Google Assistant to send whatsapp message to any whatsapp contacts.


Can Bixby do any of the above? I give up on Bixby and never bother to try it further.

I can't even get Bixby voice wake up to work, no matter how many times I train it. It was the same on my S8 Plus my note 8 and now note 9 so I don't even use it.

Didn't downgrade.
Got rid of Bixby, got rid of Samsung Pay.
And apps I couldn't delete.
Bixby popping up seems to make a phone bounce off the wall.
I hate Bixby.
Use o.k. Google and Google assistant.
Tried many times to talk to Samsung about getting rid of Bixby button.
They think it's the best thing going for them.
Told Samsung I was not buying a new phone just because of Bixby.

Answer me this, who owns the phone when you buy it. Samsung, carrier, or you.
If you own it,why can't you delete apps.
Why can't you get rid of Bixby.

I have more freedom with the pixel 3 XL.

I agree... once you learn what it's capable of controlling, it becomes quite useful!
