nice deal!!! I think that's the way to go... that's another reason I stuck with the note is I got such a killer deal... which is something apple will NEVER do. as an avid upgrader this is the best option for me, as I often upgrade my Samsung products.

I just read an article on MSN that says that the average person is waiting 2.83 years to upgrade phones. It also says that with all the phone trade ins that Apple took in, they were on average, 2.90 years old.

Of course that could be because people were trading in the older phones they had and keeping newer phones as backup.

Price is defo a big factor, I bought a Note8 straight out last year for nearly 1k on pre-order (free dex included) but after having to send that in for a warranty repair I also spend another 400 getting one through my carrier as I couldn't wait 10-12 days so I am not really happy to drop another 1k already, maybe... Just maybe I'll get one on a really good black Friday deal

How'd you get a second phone for $400 through carrier? Used an upgrade and locked yourself into a contract? That's a lot to spend on basically "one" phone.

About three weeks after buying my AT&T Note 9 and getting it unlocked, I tried selling it on Craigslist for $700 and got only 2-3 messages about it. Most people on CL were still trying to sell locked models for almost full price.

Yeah it was an upgrade and a 24 month contract, it's an unlimited everything in the EU contract and 100 minutes of calls to the US so it works out perfect for my needs/wants, also included is some kind of premium Spotify thing that I haven't even looked at

Most likely. Target and Costco already indicated that they'll offer a $300 gift card for their store.
