I'm coming from a v30. Before that. G6, g5, v10.. You get the idea. Trying a note 9 because of the screen size and battery. I'm getting use to the software, although I did install Nova.

I've had different apps closing randomly. Audible, camera, etc. Not one specific app.

My question is, is this a normal thing on Samsung? Do they fix these issues with a software update?

I'm use to LG hardware issues, bootloop, fingerprint sensor, etc. However, my LG's never had any software/UI issues. I've got 1 week to return and that's the only issue I've really had.

The camera in auto is better, but I miss the wide angle.
    The battery is better.
    The audio is worse.
The size takes some getting used to. (ladies).

Just looking for other peoples experience/opinions.

    Thanks

I can’t recall ever having an app crash on my Note 9 (not suggesting you’re not experiencing that). What model/carrier/software version are you on? Did you set up your Note from any backup or data transfer from your previous device that may have carried over some data inconsistencies?

Verizon, android 8.1.0. Samsung experience 9.5. November security patch.
I did use a nova backup from my v30. I may have to Uninstall and reinstall launcher and apps. That may help.

Before you do that, try wiping the system cache from recovery - that may resolve the issues.

My standard practice with any new phone is setup out of the box with minimum requirements, download any firmware updates, factory restore and wipe system cache before I do my real setup. May be overkill but it’s a habit I got into a long time ago and it’s served me well. I feel like that gives me the best starting point to work from.
