Android Central Question

Hello!

I just got a new Note 9, upgraded from a Pixel XL. There are photos I like to keep on my phone, not hidden, I just don't want them to download them I import photos. Its always worked to place the .NOMEDIA file in the folder with those photos. That no longer works with my new phone.
Could I get some input on how to make sure certain images stay on my phone when importing?

Thanks!
Nancy

Make sure the name of the ".nomedia" file is lower case.

If you are using an import app of some sort, it is often easier to use the file browser on the computer to just copy the few folders that you are interested in.

I created all now lower case .nomedia files. Still imports them all. Again, this worked wonderfully on my Samsung S7 AND Pixel Xl. I use the import photos option build into windows and do so because it importas all my photos into folders auto-labeled by date which I need.

I'll try to do more research on this. Thanks for the input!
