Verizon- pie update?

VZ Note 9 - Downloaded file from Fimware.Science (faster). Renamed it to update.zip, place it on root of my SD Card, booted into recovery and waited. Takes a while and seems to stay at Patching system image after verification for awhile.

I didn't do a wipe and so far everything seems to be working.

Unzip not required. Just move the file to your SD card, reboot in maintenance mode and update from SD card.

Update is full Verizon. Nothing has branded ATT as this is a CSAA this is universal for reasons Verizon is taken forever that's beyond me.

Mine took 10 minutes and I am a XDA dev so this was pretty simple for me.

Download correct version
Rename your downloaded file to update.zip
Move to SD card
Turn off phone
Turn on device holding Bixby and volume up
Release once logo pops
Update from SD pick update.zip
Done
Be patient and let update load plug in device.
You now have Pie.

I'm loving the dark mode or night mode... Verizon wireless has always been slow but knowing this is a CSAA update it's a shame they are going to make us wait until either next week or two weeks from now. Tmobile is scheduled to release its update Monday from what I have heard.

Please remember that your device will still update going into the future. So once the next update comes out you will still get security updates and such.

Find it under my files...downloads and move to SD card main section. Rename it first.

Make sure SD card is not encrypted. The update signature check failed multiple times until I decrypted card. Once that done update went smoothly.
