Verizon- pie update?

I see there is a PC-based Verizon Software Update Assistant for Samsung. Will that upgrade my phone to Pie? I downloaded it and looked for updates and it says SD1 is available. What is SD1?

Your phone is Samsung unlocked which means Verizon doesn't send it updates , they come straight from Samsung, now if you had the carrier version then it would come from Verizon.

I would use smart switch and see if a software update is available, if not your going to use Odin to get up to date and flash it .

Thanks. I used Frija to download the updates. Is there a good tutorial, preferably in English, on using Odin to flash the phone? A little concerned about bricking it.

Frija just replaced sammobile to download the firmware.

S9 Plus Verizon rolling out June patch, so Note9 should be next, oh btw AT&T Note9 512GB and my AT&T S9 Plus has June patch as well been on it for 2 days lol Build CSEB.
