So, just noticed this. My missus, on iOS, tried to send me an MMS, in short, a few photos. Photos taken with the iPhone.

I did not receive ANY. But, did receive a notification on my Note 9 saying, “MMS timeout”.

Oddly, when trying to send her an image, it fails, too. I have Textra set to ‘no carrier limit’ for sending. I initially had it to 1MB, then 2MB. Alas, it still would not send. A straight normal text message works just fine.

    Rather odd this. Any ideas...?

While my problem was happening, I was on wifi. That might have been the issue.

Now to test off wifi. Hold please...

I had a sort of similar problem. I had a note 9 and sent my daughter a code link for a $5 Dunkin donuts gift card. My Note showed it sent. She never got it on her phone. I sent the same link to husband's S9 and he got it. I emailed it to daughters email she got it that way.

I would change default texting to either Google or Samsung and try again. That should help to narrow down the issue.

I just tried a new text message app, Messages (by Google). That seemed to work with MMS.
However, I do also think that at the time, there was a WIFI issue, too.

PS: With the new Message app, by Google, you can receive text messages via your PC, too.

Over the coming days, I will perform some test, via WIFI and via LTE...

Currently, I cannot seem to receive or send MMS.
If someone sends me an MMS, I will receive a message (eventually) saying, "Can't get MMS: timeout".

Today, I will phone ATT, and ask them to 'reset' my text\mms on my account. Maybe that will help.
I used to think this was an international communication issue. Alas, even from people within the US, MMS fails to receive or send.

I do need to resolve this quickly. Otherwise, this Note 9 will have to be returned. Ugh...

We got around MMS to IOS issues by using Whatsapp. I didn't like the way my phone compressed the Iphone pictures

I was going to say, contact Textra customer support, their app development team is very quick to answer and very helpful too!

Exactly, over a feature. Then again, I kept pressing to get it resolved. After all, for a $1000+ device, and it could not receive/send MMS. Yeah, a little weird...

Absolutely, it totally should do something like that for a $1000+ device.
