I like to make animated gifs from pictures and from videos but limit to share is 15 mb and they are always too big. Is there any way to compress them using native apps or do I need something from Playstore?

You would need a video editor to reduce the resolution. GIFs, even at low frame rates the full resolution of the screen will usually run a few Megabytes. I suggest saving the captures in MP4 format, using an editor to reduce the resolution (image size) and re-encode; most apps also allow you to export to GIF.

Ya I think that is the same as the spen make a gif or gallery make a gif but as far as I can tell they don't offer compression.

I don't know how to compress a movie in gallery and make a gif is not a choice in any of my 3 edge task screens. Tried to add it but not listed.

Yes but that doesn't compress the size. I made some gifs that way and they are too big. Can the vid itself be condensed?

Yes I know but I need compression. I found a round about way to do it but it compresses too much
I simply send the gif to myself by samsung email and it compresses it from 21 mb to 2 mb without shortening it.

I no longer meddle with animations as I did back a few years but i always used a PC product like animation shop which used to be made by the Paint Shop Pro people. Since they got bought out by Corel i don't know what they offer for animation.

I'm sorry to hijack this topic, but I tried searching and kept getting someone complaining about extra ! and ?

I'm hoping that people who know how to make animated gifs also know how to turn them off in Firefox.
