I find that when I open a file and load say a 1000page book the first jump in pages takes like 3 minutes or something crazy then all of a sudden something magical happens.... I can scroll as fast as i want in between pages without it lagging at all! Normally when i just try to scroll fast i can do 3-4 pages then the next ones start showing up blank... How does the loading work so i can have smooth scrolling is there a progress bar to know when that is "enabled" and ready to go?

Sounds normal lol. It takes a while to cache the document. I don't know if you can change that behavior of the application but maybe there are other PDF readers that perform better?

Try another PDF reader, I use Ez-PDF over Adobe. There are a couple of readers on Google Play that are better then Adobe.
