Samsung tries to pass the buck that it's not a problem with them. They blame Logitech, Google, and anyone else they can think of. Yet the reality is the version of Lollipop they pushed to phones works with the same devices the version they pushed to the Note Pro doesn't work with. They pushed the version to the phones first, so they had to have available the proper info to push a working version to our tablets. I liked the response one user said they got from Samsung - "Next time wait to install the update until the bugs are worked out." I thought that was supposed to be worked out before sending out the update? They also told me personally that they didn't try the update out on ANY third-party devices. Very unprofessional on their part.

I'm "cross threading" here, and apologize. But this posted elsewhere on the forum worked on my Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 (wifi) SMP-900
(Note - after flashing it took a few minutes to get the tablet to reboot in recovery mode at which time I wiped all date - factory reset and all was fine and my two bluetooth pedals (Airturn and Pageflip) back in business). I noticed a "symptom" of the 5.0.2 fault, that is while pairing the Pageflip it is recognized as a "dual pedal" in 5.0.2 while in Kitkat it has a number before pairing and once paired a message "bluetooth keyboard connected" appears).
So here's how to downgrade to Kitkat :
and consv 93's original post :
Hi folks,
I got the 5.0 update for the Verizon Galaxy S5 (SM-G900V) and really dislike it. Does anyone know of a method to downgrade it to 4.4.4?
**UPDATE** I was able to successfully downgrade to 4.4.4. Here is a tutorial for those who may find this post and want to do the same. My S5 is the Verizon model; this should work on all Galaxy S5s. Do this at your own risk, preferably while your S5 is under warranty (though keep in mind your carrier's warranty policies may vary and may not cover you in the very slight chance something goes horribly wrong.)
1. Download Samsung Kies and back up your phone data. Remove the microSD card from your phone if you have one. Make sure your phone has a good charge (at least 50%).
2. Download the firmware you want to downgrade to at SamMobile dot com slash firmwares. (All S5s are model number SM-G900x, with the x corresponding to your carrier. Look up the model number for your carrier's phone - example, SM-G900V is Verizon, SM-G900P is Sprint, etc.) You'll probably want the latest 4.4.x version. The file will be in .zip format and will be 1.5 - 2 GB large, so be patient.
3. Once the download is complete, extract the firmware file to a place you will remember, like a folder on your desktop.
4. Download Odin from a reputable source like Softpedia or another site that tests its downloads for malware.
5. Make sure your phone is off and disconnected from your computer.
6. Open Odin. Under Options, only "Auto Reboot" and "F. Reset Time" should be checked.
7. Click the "AP" (or "PDA") box and browse for the extracted firmware file.
8. Press and hold the following buttons in order: Volume Down + Home + Power. Keep holding them until you see a screen that says "Warning!!" at the top.
9. Press the Volume Up button to continue.
10. The next screen will show the Android logo and say "ODIN MODE" at the top left.
11. Now connect your phone to your computer via USB.
12. In Odin, look to the top left and wait until you see in the leftmost box "COM" followed by a colon and a number, such as "COM:4". The number doesn't matter. Once you see that, you can proceed.
13. In the Message box in Odin, you should see several lines of text.
14. Press Start in Odin.
15. Odin will begin processing, and on your screen you will see "Downloading" with a status bar underneath.
16. When Odin is successfully finished, you will see in the Message box "All threads completed".
17. Your S5 should begin rebooting. You can disconnect from the computer.
18. If your S5 reboots successfully into good old 4.4, you're done! You can re-insert your microSD card. If your data is gone, connect to your computer and restore with Samsung Kies.
If your S5 gets stuck in booting mode (mine got stuck on the Verizon screen during booting), wait a few minutes to see if it boots. If it doesn't, remove the battery, put it back in, and try powering it on again. If that doesn't work, do the following:
1. Press in order: Volume Up + Home + Power until you see an Android screen.
2. Use Volume Down to scroll to "wipe data/factory reset" and press Power to select it. (Make sure you have backed up your phone!)
3. On the next screen, scroll to Yes, select it, and your phone will reset.
4. When it's done, select reboot system now and it will reboot. You should enter the original S5 welcome & setup process.
5. Restore your data using Samsung Kies. This will restore most of everything; you may need to re-setup the home screens and some of your settings, though.
6. If your phone still doesn't boot properly, you'll probably need to take it in to your carrier. Since most/all S5s are under a year old at this point, you should be covered by your carrier's warranty, and they should either fix it or give you a new S5 which will most likely have Android 4.4 on it, so you still get the firmware you wanted and you can restore using Kies.
Depending on your carrier your phone will nag you to update to Android 5.0. Just ignore these messages for as long as you want 4.4.
I hope this helps other folks!
I put these issues into reviews of the Samsung and Logitech products on Amazon. (One star for tablet and BT keyboard until this is resolved).
At least, hopefully, fewer people will be suckered in.
I have the same problem. I updated and the keyboard quit. I called Samsung, who pretty much told me that the keyboards are now incompatible, that only a Samsung Bluetooth keyboard would work. And that it was my responsibility to work with Logitech on the issue if I wanted to use a Logitech keyboard. I called Logitech and found out that they knew nothing before hand about the update. They found out like us, when their keyboards quit working. In fact, the new update wasn't to come out for several more months.
Not a good thing for Samsung to do.
This worked for me. I'm not allowed to post links until I post 10 times, so ... here is a post.
I found the fix. Will post shortly.
HERE IS THE FIX -- VERIFIED BY ME!
Thanks to Jonathon Dunford! I was able to flash my 12.2 back to 4.4.2!!! I am copy/paste/editing Jonathon's steps here, specific to SM-P900:
1. Download Samsung Kies or Smart Switch, and back up device data. Remove the microSD card from the device if you have one. Make sure device has a good charge (at least 50%).
2. Go to Download firmware: P900XXUANI1_P900BTUANI1_BTU - SamMobile -- this build is for the UK, but the build number (P900XXUANI1) is correct. The file will be in .zip format and is 1.6GB, so be patient.
3. Once the download is complete, extract the firmware file to a place you will remember, like a folder on your desktop.
4. Download Odin from a reputable source like Softpedia or another site that tests its downloads for malware.
5. Make sure your device is off and disconnected from your computer.
6. Open Odin. Under Options, only "Auto Reboot" and "F. Reset Time" should be checked.
7. Click the "AP" (or "PDA") box and browse for the extracted firmware file (P900XXUANI1_P900BTUANI1_HOME.tar.md5).
17. Your device should begin rebooting. You can disconnect from the computer.
18. At this point, my 12.2 got stuck on the "SAMSUNG" logo page, and wouldn't boot properly. I resigned myself that I'd need to do a factory reset, but oh well, better to have a tablet with a non-functioning keyboard than a non-functioning tablet. But upon factory resetting, I found myself in 4.4.2!!!
19. Power down machine.
20. Boot to restore menu by pressing and holding the following buttons in order: Volume Up + Home + Power. Keep holding them until you see the "Android system recovery" screen.
21. Press the down volume button until "wipe data/factory reset" is selected. Then press the power button to select.
22. Press the down volume button until "Yes -- delete all user data" is selected. Then press the power button to select.
23. After the wipe is complete, "reboot system now" should be selected--simply press the power button to select.
24. Upon boot up, you will find yourself setting up the tablet as if it were brand new. Once you can get to the settings screen, you will see that you are running 4.4.2.
25. Connect your keyboard/mouse/whatever!!!!!
26. Restore your apps from Kies/Smart Switch.
NOTE: since this is a very old build, you will spend several minute downloading updates, typically pushed to your device via the Google Play store. This is a small price to pay to get your bluetooth devices back. Big price to pay for Samsung's terrible QA, but... my keyboard and mouse work!
Kudos again to Jonathan
After flashing to 4.4.2, if you want a Lollipop "skin" experience, set Google Now Launcher as your default Home key operation. Just a thought...
I just received the following update from Logitech Support:
<<<
Dear Bruce E,
Thank you for contacting Logitech Customer Care.
We would like to inform you that the issue that you are experiencing with the Logitech PRO for NotePRO 12.2 and TabPRO 12.2 when it is connected to your tablet with android version 5.0.2 has been escalated to our product specialist and was reported to Samsung, they already figured out that this issue happens because of the said update for the android operating system.
Samsung have urgently updated the binary file and the OS will be updated soon. There will be a software to be release to resolved the issue but Logitech cannot provide any time frame for its release because Samsung is the one responsible to it. For further questions about the software update please contact Samsung and also let them know the issues that you are having after the update.

So it seems that Samsung is aware and acknowledges the problem and is working on a fix. Hopefully it will be soon though no date was indicated.
I successfully paired the logitech keyboard pro with the samsung s4 and s6 phone, my T420 Laptop, and my nexus 7. I tried to pair 3 other bluetooth keyboards with the note pro 12.2 and they all would pair, but no keys would work once paired. The same 3 keyboards paired fine with the S4, S6, and nexus 7 (I did not try the laptop). Here is an untouched conversation (minus links) with Samsung technical support (Vivian J) on this issue. Samsung is passing the buck onto logitech.
Please wait for a Samsung Agent to respond.

Visitor: just want to type without using up my screen to use the lame samsung keyboard.
Vivian J: I understand your concern with this issue.
Vivian J: Have you performed reset on the tablet and checked if the same issue persists?
Visitor: others have and it dont correct the issue. only root to 4.2.2 will work
Visitor: what is your team doing to correct this issue?
Visitor: you trying to prevent 3rd party devices from connecting to the 12.2?
Visitor: you need to fix this not logitech and the other manufactures who make 3rd party devices.
Visitor: the public needs a new build, are you guys at least acknowledging that fact?
Vivian J: We do not have any reported issues, we had rolled the update for the tablet so that it is compatible for connecting to the Samsung devices.
Visitor: bluetooth is bluetooth. the 12.2 should work with any device that is bluetooth. it is the kernel version on the 12.2 that is at fault.
Vivian J: As the logitech keyboard is a third party keyboard we do not have any tested information whether it will be compatible with the Lollipop OS of the tablet.
Visitor: not android 5.0.2
Visitor: so you guys are not going to do anything and that is your final answer?
Visitor: please answer carefully, as a copy of this WILL be on the forum when we are done.
Visitor: so you and logitech are not working together to fix this?
Vivian J: You can contact Logitech support for the compatibility details.
Visitor: seems like the kernel version just needs to be tweeked to allow ALL devices
Visitor: if i go out and buy a samsung keyboard and it works, i will take it back and fight this BS.
Vivian J: We have worked from our end to roll the android verison for the tablet, you can contact the Logitech support for the compatibility issues.
Visitor: next tv will be LG, next phone will be a google phone. you failed me.
Firstly one must give credit when credit is due. consv 93 posted the fix, I just reposted it!
Two questions to y'all :
- can I upgrade to a better version of Kitkat via the Samsung upgrade tool
OR will it install the HORRID Lollipop again?
(I'm on Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Wifi SMP-900)
- will someone here alert us once Samsung has fixed Lollipop and it works with bluetooth.
It's true the new design is attractive.
N.B.One (small) error in Mobilisheets that I use daily has appeared in my version of Kitkat (4.0.2) that the virtual keyboard won't show with the text tool. This was not the case before I upgraded to Lollipop and then retrograded to Kitkat. Wondering if it is due to a '"primitive" version of Lollipop?
Friggin' unbelievable.
I dont think I can make that re-set fix work.... I'll end up doing more harm than good my machines. But I can't keep waiting for some far-off repair.
Im considering just getting a Surface Pro, despite decades of despising microsoft.
Folks. I have had a couple of frustrating days with AirTurn and Samsung. My Samsung keyboard works just fine after upgrading to 5.0.2 (go figure that they tested).
I use an AirTurn foot pedal (the droid systme thinks it is a keyboard with a two keys) to turn pages on my 12.2 Pro and was unable to get it to connect.
The folks at AirTurn were nice enough to post a warning on their support page to not upgrade but it would have been nice of them to notify those of us on their mailing list or with filled out warranties (they are quick to send us notes about sales and offers...).!!! UGH
I opened a case with Samsung and they called me back and walked me through a process and now my device can pair and connect but due to missing HID (Human Interfase Device) info the device is still a 100 dollar brick. Samsung did tell me this process works for logitech devices (I have no idea).
The process was to boot the device in SAFEMODE (when booting hold the VOLUMEDOWN) and once in safe mode to connect the Bluetooth Device. Once completed reboot in normal mode and off ya go. Like I said for the Air Turn is now paired and connected but did not function.
Samsung still owes me a call back in regrds to the next step.
In the Mean Time the FLIPPAGE folks (Makers of the Cicada) tell me thier device works withe the Samsung and 5.0.2.
Can anyone confirm this?
I reccomend calling Samsung and geting a case number and following up. If enough of us make our collective voices heard maybe they will work the issue harder.
Also calling AirTurn and expressing your OUTRAGE that they did not notify us when they could have might get them to act diffently in the future?
Lastly if anyone can verify the Cicada's functionality with this combination?
Thanks

When I said Flippage I should have said PageFlip.
Question still remains if their product the Cicada works with the Samsung 12.2 and Android 5.0.2?
Thanks,

I'm using the Pageflip Cicada Bluetooth pedal with my Samsung Galaxy Note Pro and it doesn't work since the update to 5.0.2.
I notified Pageflip as well as Samsung. The Samsung technician told me they would be working on an update to fix the problem. The Cicada pedal connects but doesn't turn pages. I am now using an app called An2An on my Note Pro tablet and Samsung S3 phone to be able to still turn pages on my tablet with the Bluetooth pedal. Works perfectly. Hope the update for Lollipop comes soon though!
Same with me. I updated my Samsung Tab 4 with 5.0.2 and my bluetooth is not working anymore. When I connect my tablet to my PC, the Logiteck mouse is not working neither...
OK am I reading this right.
You ae using he AN2AN app to connect your page turning device to a different phone (or tablet) and having that device relay the instructions to your NotePro12.2? Is that how that app works? Or can you use it to recognise the Page Turning device directly on the NotePro 12.2?

I'm experiencing the same issue with bluetooth when I want to connect my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 to the Bose bluetooth speaker. I downloaded the new Version 5.0.2 via Kies and I regret it very much! Who could help me on that? Thanks
This is a real pain. I love my 12.2 and used my keyboard everyday. Now I am at the mercy of Samsung / Logitech for a fix. I hate the screen keyboard, but that is what I am using to type this reply ..... arrrgggg!

Paul, Check out my previous post. Not sure it will work or not but when I was speaking to samsung they asked me to connect my device using the safe mode. That got my device to pair and connect but once back in normal mode my device did not work.Samsung told me that this works for logitec devices. I have no first hand experience as I do not have a logitec device but I hope that works for you. If my directions are not clear (sorry) call samsung. If it fails to work request a case number and follow up. We need to keep them busy to pay attention to the issue and get it resolved!!!!!!

How do you open in Safe Mode?
OK Safe mode....
I was instructed to do this from the Samsung help center and it works on my NotePro 12.2....
Turn the unit off
Hold down the Down Volume and turn the unit on.
One it boots it will be in safe mode.
From there go to settings and Pair your device and connect
Turn the unit off and boot normally.
Once the system boots back up you will not that the device is paired and you can connect.
At this point your device just might work.
However at this point the operating system needs the correct HID. If yourdevice fails to work at this point this is the most likely cause. (This is where I am).
Good luck and let's hope Samsung is working on this.

NO Pageflip DOES NOT work with 5.0.2 I've flashed back to Kitkat as posted earlier. That is the only way to make the Pageflip work with a Samsung 12.2 Note Pro (SMP-900).
SAXNE1:
Yes, my S3 phone gets the signal from my PageFlip Cicada bluetooth pedal and sends it to the Note Pro 12.2. Works great! Used it at church today without any problem. No delay whatsoever. This An2An is a lifesaver for me. You have to download An2An Remote (free) to both devices and add the An2An Keyboard ($1.49) to the phone. Took me a few minutes to exactly configure it, but now it's a piece of cake. I just didn't want to go through the whole rooting/flashing business.
Thanks Jonathan.
Imay look into that at some point.
I have a 10.1 NotePro and I will give Samsung some time (and hell in the process) and see if it gets fixed soon. If not this flshing back may be an option.
Thanks,
Matt

The design being nice is one thing, but more important are security updates. Now that Android 5.0.2 has been launched, expect only a (last?) incidental one on 4.4.2
And as you may have read, with the discovery of a trojan through 4.3.n such updates are essential.
Your installation of 4.0.2 is adding a vulnerability your NotePro did not have beforehand.
On the virtual keyboard not popping up anymore I have bad news. This morning I got called by a Samsung technician responding to my mail. It is a Lollipop function to suppress the virtual keyboard the instant it discovers an external one (either BT or OTG) and apparantly neither on a viritual external one.
It is not affected nor steered by Samsung's UI.
There is, nor will be a workaround, unless Google adds one.
There is no official rollback to 4.4.2, hence he could not advice me so.
It's knowing your unicode table by heart once again 😡
Do we have any hope of this getting resolved this week? I can't go any longer without a keyboard and may have to just breakdown and buy the Samsung version. I'd rather not, of course - not just because of the cost, but also because I loved this Logitech version when it worked.

oh, I doubt it will be anytime soon as much as we all want it to be.......... everybody's still busy pointing fingers or saying it's not their problem to fix. I wouldn't want to speculate as to when the next update will be with a fix for the bluetooth issues - soon would be great, but I don't think it will be.
I went and looked at the Samsung BT keyboard Samsung "suggested" I buy to replace my Logitech one. I wasn't impressed with the quality nor functionality. Definitely not equal to the BT Logitech keyboard / case.
I agree; however, I use this for work quite a bit, and in the absence of my Logitech version functioning correctly, what other option do we have? I don't feel comfortable messing with the OS, nor do I want to deal with connecting my keyboard via my phone everytime I want to use it. This situation sucks.

I am not sure what Bluetooth Keyboard Samsung recommended but I suspect it is their keyboard. I have that one and it works fine. Not sure how it compares to the Logitech or MS keyboards but will take your word for it. My wife likes the ZAGG products and has been very happy with hers on her MAC (yeah I know - what can you do) for years now.
I was on the phone with Samsung again today. And while they are nice and sympathetic there is no information being provided that would be considered useful. No dates but have mentioned there is a fix on the way but again not sure if it will address any specific problems.
The big deal is that they will work on the issues they know about. So...Squeaky Wheel gets the oil!!!
Call in (and have your friends call in that are having this problem) and give the agent as much information as you can including OS details (include the SDK levels and other info). Get a case number!
Good luck.
I have both a Logitech and a Samsung keyboard. I bought the Logitech first as I got a great price on ebay. I bought the Samsung keyboard 2-3 months ago and love it far more than the Logitech one. This is the Samsung keyboard that snaps over the face of the tablet for carrying. Great investment as far as I'm concerned.

My workaround is using a desktop keyboard (or the more or less transportable, smaller and cheap one I bought for my old netbook) through an OTG cable. Both are Logitech, both work.
The one problem might be, charging and simultaneously typing is impossible that way.
Saxnet: When I hold the volume on reboot it goes to a boot menu, none of which are safe mode. Which leads me to safe mode? Thanks

I just discovered this:
"Jamie Prevo
Just got this from Logitech
Dear Jamie,
Thank you for contacting Logitech and for the update. Samsung has identified the cause of the problem on the Tab PRO and the fact that our keyboard stopped working with it on the latest OS update. They have urgently updated the binary file and the OS will be updated soon. We are still waiting for their update."
on this forum page: https://plus.google.com/communities/...47371840011240
Also discovered on the Logitech forum a logitech moderator stating that they (logitech) have been advised by Samsung that :
" Samsung has identified the cause of the problem on the Tab PRO and the fact that our keyboard stopped working with it on the latest OS update. They have urgently updated the binary file and the OS will be updated soon. They will get back to us the OS release schedule.
We will post a new alert once we have the details of the fixed OS version"

Paul,
I have a Samsung NotePro 12.2 and prior to turning the device on I hold down the DOWN volume button and hang onto it until it starts in Safe Mode.
That worked for me.
I was talked through this process by the Samsung help desk 1-800-726-7864.
Hope this helps.
Matt
My latest interaction with Samsung:
Addison N: As we are able to connect the tablet with other devices, the tablet seems to be working fine. This could be due to some compatibility issues and we are currently working on it.
John: This is a very well known issue with the new 5.0.2 release for the Note Pro 12.2. In fact, Logitech has announced that Samsung found a fix and will be reissuing the OS. I'm just wondering what the time frame is for that?
Addison N: Samsung is working on the issue; however as of now we do not have any exact time frame to fix the issue.
John: Ok - frustrating considering the cost of this tablet and that it is marketed to professionals. I need the keyboard for work. This is affecting my productivity, which is the very reason I purchased this model.
Addison N: I understand your frustration and as I stated Samsung is working on the issue and it will be fix soon.
Im so confused. Logitech was working on a fix. Now they are saying Samsung is working on a fix. But it might have been Google's fault in disabling bluetooth connections.
Meanwhile, I could not get the safe-mode thing to work.
Not sure how to hook up the USB OTG idea, though that sounds promising.
Wondering if I should suck it up and buy a Samsung keyboard... those still work, right? (It'd be the LAST Samsung purchase I ever make)
I'm convinced the problem is 100 percent Samsung. Other Samsung devices on Lollipop continue to work well with Bluetooth devices the Note Pro no longer works with, which rules out both Google and Logitech. In addition, Samsung admits they didn't test our update on anything other than their own devices. To me, that says they didn't care.

Its certainly hard to see why Logitech would want this to happen. Or google, which as far as I know doesn't make keyboards. Samsung, on the other hand, makes software for the OS and keyboards, no?
That's so easy, they sell OTG cables at every phone store. They are used to connect external card readers, for example, so you can add the images from your camera. They give the appliance the power, that the full size USB slot would have brought. And so they work for keyboards (both USB cabled and wireless) too.
Plug the OTG cable in the micro-USB slot on the NotePro. Then plug in the device (keyboard, wireless keyboard adapter) into the full size USB slot on the other side of the cable.
You'll then get a message what type of device you connected. And then: type... (or access your full size SD card or whatever) Eventually you can find the keyboard listed in the setup menu.
This morning's email from Logitech:
Good day. Samsung is currently looking for a fix and will send an over-the-air update for the current problem with Bluetooth keyboards.

Now, if Samsung could just come up with an ETA on when the fix will be pushed....
So thankful I came across this post....I was moments away from ordering a new Logitech keyboard. I don't use the keyboard much, and did not make the association between the early July update and the malfunction...figured it just died....
The OTG cable thing did not work for me. No window popped up, so the Samsung didn't recognize/couldn't find my Logitech keyboard. They tried a Bluetooth adapter on the OTG USB part, and that did not work either.
Re: How to boot into safe mode... Google is your friend! (I don't remember exactly ;-) However I tried this pair in safe mode with both my Logitech KB case and Ultrathin mouse and it does not work. This "fix" if you read the original source was not intended for this particular issue with Logitech.
Sorry to hear that, and a bit confusing for me as well. My K800 desktop keyboard connects perfectly through the unified receiver plugged into the OTG slot, can thus be combined with a mouse using the same. Or I put my ultraflat keyboard Y-8BP62a's cable in the OTG plug, and it works like a dream (be it with another description in the setup menu). Both (3, mouse included) Logitech.
Any new info on the keyboard issue?

I have the note pro 12.2 and airturn pedal. I downloaded the an2an to my phone and tablet and can't figure out how to set it up. Could you tell me what to do step by step?
I would also like to know the step by step for AN2AN.\
My phone is a 5.02 (Samsung S5 Active) will it work with that?
Ahy reviews of AN2AN?
Thanks,
Matt
Another user (bibeltreu) posted:
Yes, my S3 phone gets the signal from my PageFlip Cicada bluetooth pedal and sends it to the Note Pro 12.2. Works great! Used it at church today without any problem. No delay whatsoever. This An2An is a lifesaver for me. You have to download An2An Remote (free) to both devices and add the An2An Keyboard ($1.49) to the phone. Took me a few minutes to exactly configure it, but now it's a piece of cake. I just didn't want to go through the whole rooting/flashing business.
Check out the description on the An2An Remote (Demo) Play Store page. Those instructions worked great for me. It's complicated and pretty much guaranteed that you'll screw it up at least one. Just keep trying!
thanks. It did take a few minutes to figure out how to configure An2An, but the google play instructions were pretty good.. and they first thing i typed....
"How dare Samsung keep me from using my keyboard!" LOL
How much extra battery is your phone losing using this app?
i have not noticed any change in battery drain - that actually surprised me too. The only limitation is that you can only use the An2An Mouse on a rooted reciever device.... for now being able to use the keyboard at least has been HUGE since i type about 80 words per minute and the onscreen keyboard is just KILLING my productivity!
Well a breakthrough, sort of but not sure yet.....
I have a NotePro 12.2 and use it with a AirTurn foot pedal to turn my music (basically the NotPro is my music stand - se my previous posts).
I have called Samsung 4 or 5 times over the last few weeks after upgrading to 5.0.2 and loosing all connectivity with my AirTurn.
Today I tried something again and got a different result. After being transferred to a supervisor (I requested as the agent was not going to be able to do any of these things I requested - read on) I asked for Samsung to do one of four things (one of these would make me happy):
1) Let me know when a fix was going to be applied and that it will address my specific device (I was told that they are waiting for Google to fix Android 5.0.2 and could not respond)
OR
2) Replace my device with one that is in the box and still running 4.X.X
OR
3) Have my device reimaged
OR
4) GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK !!!
I reminded them the main reason I purchased this device (the 12.2) was for this purpose (music stand) an due to them rolling our this upgrade they have reduced my substantial purchase to a very good looking/expensive BRICK. I also asked them to look at my profile and see how many Samsung Products I have registered (Key Board for the 12.2, NotePro 10.1, Galaxy S5 Active, DVD/Blue ray player, Rugby Phone, and a Gear Fit).
The entire time I was pleasant (no reason to loose your cool (ever) with a front line help desk person(s) who are all very nice) and did not raise my voice.
They chose to have me return my device and they would reimage it to the previous OS level.
I do not know if this will work. I may very well be in for a very frustrating result but they offered and I took it. I will let ya'll know how it turns out. You can choose to try this or wait for me to let ya know if it will work (my recommendation).
I just sent the device (12.2) off.
More to Follow
BTW - I could not get AN2AN to work but seeing how I have a NotPro 101 as a back up I did not try very hard. My phone is at OS 5.0.2 I would need to use the 10.1 and as long as I have it out and the AirTurn works with it I reminded myself why I have a back up (chose not to give the 10.1 to my son when I got the 12.2) and will use that until something breaks.
OK, $5 via PayPal to anyone who translates AN2AN's instructions for those of us who thought we were somewhat intelligent, but developed dyslexia, AD/HD and numerous other learning disabilities upon reading the instructions in the plays store, and attempting to set this up. OK, maybe I already had one or two of these Dx's, but my God, I've never felt so thick. Geez :/
I have An2An Remote on both devices (Note Pro 12.2 and Note 4), and An2An Keyboard on my phone (Note 4). Beyond that, I've switched which device is transmitter and receiver settings, and screwed around with every other setting I could find (nope, can't reproduce it, nor try to explain it!). Just unistalled everything and reinstalled.
Anyone...?
Eh, nvm. Got it. Though I seriously doubt I could reproduce it! Not all features of the keyboard work for me, which I expected after a few others said the same thing. One is the "enter" key though :/
Has anybody else noticed how stupid people have become now that the police will put you in jail for slapping the hell out of someone for doing jackass updates like Samsung? I say make it legal to slap the hell out of stupid people when they do stupid stuff. Then there won't be so much stupid stuff.
I surrendered. Just bought the Samsung keyboard case, which apparently still works with the Note Pro. There are some decent deals on those on Ebay. It was the cheapest way to get something out of my NotePro investment.
But I swear it will be the LAST Samsung product I ever purchase--ever/ever. No TVs, stereos, computers, BluRay players. No phones and certainly no tablets.
I surrendered earlier this week - also bought the Samsung keyboard. It does, indeed, work.

Got the Samsung keyboard today (shockingly fast delivery - Yay Amazon!). It is a poor substitute for the Logitech in every way. But it DOES work. (funny that the Samsung keyboard works fine after the "upgrade", but their competitors' keyboards do not). Anyhooo, the keyboards are on Ebay at decent prices for anyone else who just wants to escape the madness.
Hey!! AirTurn pedal owners - here is a cut/paste from AirTurn, who have been following the forum and talking to Samsung about a resolution "Samsung just called us and admitted that they made a mistake in the update and that we were not the only company effected. They said there will be an update released on Monday that should fix the problem! It is a forced update I believe, so you'll have to go check for new updates on Monday." Let's hope this does happen on Monday and that it does work for everybody, not just we pedal owners but you keyboard folks too.
Well, I opened a case with Samsung. They called today and basically said we'll just have to wait for the update and that there was no time line marked at this time.
Posted via the Android Central App
Samsung admitting they made a mistake makes it worth waiting through Monday 23:59 Hawaiian time.
I had some experience they simply denied ever making a problematic phone E910, simply erased all of it's online proof of existence.
Let's hope for the better, this time.
According to a post on Airturn's support site, Samsung will release the fix on Monday. I can't post the link, but here is the text from the site: "Android Users: Samsung has contacted us reguarding the 5.0.2 update problem. A new update will be released on Monday, August 3rd, 2015 to restore functionality to AirTurn products as well as other brands of Bluetooth keyboards."
Great news indeed.

Fingers crossed. Thanks for the post!
Thanks for the info!
Tick....tock....tick....tock....tick...
Awesome, I hope that this is true. Guess we will find out tomorrow.
Chuck
OK .....it's Monday. ..where is the fix ... I have patience issues .... lol

hahahaha, me too Paul. I'll want to slap somebody if it doesn't happen today - I've been fixated on THIS Monday for days now.
LOL...me too!
Korean Monday has passed, office hours in Western Europe are nearly done with. Only 11 hours or so of Monday somewhere remaining.
Sounds like we beter wait for Blue Monday?
Paring still works fine for my Ultraslim keyboard ;-)
It's Monday here in Oregon and no update yet.
I surrendered also.. Ordered the Samsung keyboard thru Amazon late last week. Arrived over the weekend. Paired and connected fine.. Half dozen of the keys don't work. Space bar, backspace, 0, P, :, ? and a few others.. Great quality there, Samsung.. Amazon is expediting me a new one..
Well, haven't had any updates in Nashville but I'm not holding my breath either 😆

Just went out and checked. No updates in Indianapolis either...
Folks,
Time to get real people!
I just got off the phone with Samsung. I also spoke with AirTurn who posted on their website and got us all excited that this would be fixed today.
Guess what...
Surprise Surprise these folks are wrong (again)
The folks at Samsung just told me they are working on the patch but the is no timeline to release.
The folks at AirTurn had no idea until I got off the phone with them that it had not been released.
I am expecting my device to be received tomorrow from Samsung. I convinced them this was a manufactures defect and they could: 1) Give me my money back, 2) Exchange it for a new one in the box (still running 4.x), or 3) take this back and re-image it. They chose option 3 and I sent it on Tuesday last week and have a tracking number from UPS that is promising delivery tomorrow (one week - not bad).
I will let ya folks know if they actually did what they promised but at this point this might be the way to go.
The more folks that do this, and the cost that Samsung has to pay increases, may get this patch applied faster (then again we want the patch applied correctly as well :-).
As long as I am ranting, I will not recommend an AirTurn foot pedal (that is the device I need to get working) to anyone else as well. They knew this problem existed and did not push a notification to the folks registered on warranty or to their general distribution list. Instead they took a passive approach and let us know this was the problem when we went to their webpage (both unacceptable approaches) when it was too late!!!!! Also they are the ones that announced that Samsung was going to apply a patch and had no idea it was not being applied until I called them. (Not sure PageFlip (PageFlip Automatic Page Turner) is any better but it can not be worse).
In the meantime I am interested if/when the patch is applied and if it works with the AirTurn so if anyone tries it please post the results.
And call Samsung and demand a replacement:

Thanks and good luck!!!!!
PS
I have had a Samsung Keyboard since I got my device at the beginning of this year and I really like it. It has help up well. (This being the only Bluetooth Keyboard I have nothing to compare it to). It also makes a nice case.
As long as I am getting positive check out the MOSHI screen protector for the 12.2. It is anti glare and truly can be removed and mounted as many times as you like!
I took up the writer above's suggestion to call Samsung, just to bug them. Again, no release date. I said their faulty release rendered my tablet useless for business, and 'ironically' the only keyboard which works is theirs. I asked if they would send me a free keyboard. The associate put my on a long hold while he talked to his supervisor.....for quite a while. Supervisor got on an said no deal. Absolutely pathetic that I bought this high-priced tablet for productivity, and the worthless Samsung engineers rendered it useless due to inadequate prerelease testing.
Last Samsung device I will be buying...can't wait for my two year contract on my Note 4 to expire.
Yep, I said the same thing after a horrid experience with a Samsung Moment phone. A couple of months ago when in the market for a new tablet I figured that I would give them another try. The Galaxy tablets had good reviews. What a freaking mistake. I should have kept the opinion of my first Samsung experience. .. they are a crap company. No doubt about it.
For once I am truly appreciative that I have the Verizonwireless 4G LTE capable version of the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 tablet. Model PV-905. Verizon is notoriously slow at testing and approving OEM operating system updates. This normally infuriates me because the wifi-only versions always get upgraded to the latest operating system way before the 4G LTE version does. But this time the "Verizon Lag" works in my favor. The current Android version on the PV-905 is Kit Kat 4.4.2 - Lollipop is not available yet. And so I am happily typing this into tapatak running on my Galaxy Note Pro via the Logitec Note Pro thin version keyboard. THANK YOU VERIZON WIRELESS!!
Dear Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 wife-only colleagues, I hope your pain ends very soon.

Im just going to stick it out with the cr4ppy Samsung wanna-be keyboard. Im wondering why No One from Samsung (or any other manufacturer) has bothered to weigh-in here---at least to let their customers know they are aware of the problem and are working on it. That would have gone a long way. Just as bad as the upgrade malfunction is the sense that the responsible party doesn't give a hoot.
I understand and am frustrated just like everyone else. I also bought the Samsung keyboard because I really need/use a keyboard all throughout the day all week long. Would I love to just say screw you Samsung, yes of course I would! But at the end of the day the Note Pro 12.2 is still the best tablet on the market for me and my needs. Even though I have the Surface Pro 3 there are just too many things the Note does better in my opinion. So I have to go with what is best for me.
Now my loyality to Samsung if totally gone for sure and if anyone asks I'll totally give them an earful no doubt but I'm still going to personally buy the product that meets my needs to the fullest and unfortunately it happens to currently be the Note Pro 12.2 even though Samsung has basically abandoned us in this issue and this is not a minor issue by no means!
Folks,
This will most likely (I hope) be my last post.
I just got my 12.2 back from Samsung.
While the paperwork stated they fixed a power/charging issue they indeed moved me back to 4.4.2.
My Bluetooth keyboard is working as well as my keyboard (the keyboard is a Samsung keyboard so no surprise there).
IT was not easy but Samsung turned the device around in 7 days and now I am back to normal.
The only downside of course is I have to "move back in".
But Mobile Sheets is responding and I am ready for a rehearsal tonight and a gig on Saturday!!!!!
Good luck to you all and please as soon as someone upgrades and the AirTurn works please let me know (the AirTurn site still says there will be a fix applied on Monday Aug 3rd).
Good luck and thanks for all the information.
Matt
same for me page flip and pageflip firefly wont work since 5.0.2
Well, it's been four weeks today since the Android 5.0.2 upgrade disabled my Logitech BT keyboard. I keep hoping that Samsung will push out a fix soon. I was really getting to like the Note PRO 12.2, having bought it only in early June because I'd gotten fed up with unacceptable service on my SP3.
Perhaps we can hope that Samsung's announcement earlier today about monthly security updates is a harbinger of better service ahead?
Or not...
Heard of a Korean update that actually fixed the problem. Shouldn't take too long before other countries will get the software fix. Long live KitKat! 😉
This Korean Build works perfect, Logictech keyboard works without any problem: P900KXUBOG6
I downloaded from Sam Mobile website, registered and downloaded as Regular Download, it may take 2 hours for download, but flash it with Odin only take under 4 minutes.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
After a reboot, it updated about 5 minutes, then everything works perfect
Attachment 190126
Attachment 190127
OG6 is the latest build based on alphabetical order
O= 15 or 2015
G= 7 that means July
the last number is version
If your build ends with OF4, the one has problem with Bluetooth keyboard, you need to upgrade to OG6 to fix this issue.
If I install the Korean build here in the USA will that cause me some problems? Sorry if this is a stupid question.
I don't think it has any problem, after booting up it goes straight to my lock screen without any setting for language.
I read from another threat they have to set up language as English at the beginning. I didn't do anything, just went straight to Download Mode to flash the new firmware.
Any way, I did a factory reset before flash the OG6. I think Wifi version there is no difference in region.
I use the Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 main board with LCD assembly of Galaxy Note Pro without any problem except it doesn't have connection for the S Pen flex cable.
So is it safe to assume this tripped Knox and the tablet was rooted prior to Oden application?
Posted via the Android Central App
It is NOT a stupid question, because it was not just OF4 that was affected. OF2 as was distributed for Europe had the same fault.
Korean and US-English seem to get installed by default on Samsung , so if those by language and internationalisation are sufficient to you, you may go ahead without trouble.
For other users Beut's description contains too little information for a safe try.
My Note Pro is not rooted and this one is official , not custom Rom. After reboot, turned on Bluetooth, I can use the keyboard right away, it's already paired in the setting.
so can someone post some kind of step by step for those wanting to try to install the Korean fireware build?
Thanks
No need to do the Korean build. Try United Kingdom. I posted the steps on 17 July here: http://forums.androidcentral.com/sam...ml#post4559438
