Spanish Language Note

Just received my Note from Expansys, and to my surprise I got a Spanish language version of the phone & getting started booklet. I'm new to Android, just coming over from an iPhone 4s; how do I switch the language to English, plus should I put my sim card into the phone before or after making the language change?

When you first power on it will take you to a screen in spanish. The lower right corner will have a box with arrow as I recall. You hit that and it will allow you to select a default lauguage.
