SD card question

A bit of a general question, but it is happening on my Note 2.
My photos go to the SD card. When I connect to my computer, or connect using Kies, all I see are icons, not photo thumbnails.
I've opened using my computer and looked at view, options, etc with no luck.
HELP!

Find that usb utilities option.
On me. Click before connect usb to pc. Click again after connect usb to pc.
Both internal sd and sd card will act like a removable disk.

No such animal on my ATT Note 2 options...that I can see.
I'm still looking, but it's not on the screen you are showing.

External sd card only. Not internal sd. For now.
Root needed.
Do with your own risk.
