Hide weather in Google Now?

Can anyone tell me how to stop Google Now from displaying weather? I use another weather app and don't need the weather repeated on my Google Now widget, but more importantly I want to down-size the widget (which I can, I use Apex), but I need to get rid of weather in order that the smaller-size widget shows my other cards.

Open up Google Now by tapping the Google button in your app drawer or tapping a card in your notifications. Press your Menu button and tap Settings. Tap "Google Now". From there, you can enable / disable card categories.

Many thanks. However, the only card catagories there are "Places", "Sports" and "Stocks". No weather ... ?

Problem solved. The option is under ""Show Sample cards". Not an intuitive place to find settings, I would say, but I'm sorted. I hope this may help anyone else with the same problem.

Easy way is to click on the triple dots at the corner of the weather card and just follow the prompts to turn off notifications and cards for weather. I was searching for this answer as well and figured it out while reading a different comment
