    hello, new here, thanks in advance to everyone

    i recently purchased a skyrocket on att network, upgrading from an old 3g iphone

    over the past 2 days i have not been able to send or receive an MMs, text with a picture

    i have an unlimited text, mms plan with att for a long time and had no issues when i first bought the phone but now,
    when i send a pic, it just says sending forever
    and when someone sends me a pic, it shows that there is a file to get and wants me to press to download,
    i press it but noting happens,

    waht gives, gettin frustrated

    Further down in this same forum there is a thread on this. Go read those, but the one that makes the most sense to me is perhaps your phone though activated wasn't switched to lte data plan?

    I am having a text issue myself. Been having some texts fail lately but at least it shows they fail. On the other hand my husband has a blackberry and I am not getting some of his texts. On his end it shows they sent but I am getting some in a conversation throughput a day but not all, which can lead to some pretty funny misunderstandings. Anyone else having this issue?

    yeah i read that post after i did mine

    i did have easy battery saver and the problem did start after that, really disappoiniting,
    i deleted the program but it still doesnt work, i really do not want tto do a factory reset

    in regards to the data plan, the messaging plan should be not an issue as its not the same as internet type data

    If you end up doing a system reset download Astro and use their app backup so you can save your apps, makes it a lot easier after the restore to get your apps back.

    dont really have alot of aps, yet , more concerned about my contacts and pics, as most of that is from my iphone,

    when i got the phone from BB, they did the transfer for me,
    i have my contacts in gmail but im shakey as to how to get it all in there for pics etc


    now when i get text, i recieve the same text like 3 times in a row, im so pissed at this tty easy saver crap ap, wtf

    i knew i should have stuck with stupid apple products and not have operating system problems

    Hey vdubpower, i had this same problem. I'm not sure if you are still having problems but i fixed mine pretty easy. Hope this helps you if you're still having problems.

    Just go to settings
    then wireless and network
    scroll to mobile networks
    click on access point names
    then press your menu button and reset to default.

    actually thats not entirely correct. sms and mms go through different channels to be delivered. SMS rides the voice side, MMS rides on the DATA side. you do need the correct data feature on your account. if you have a skyrocket and a data plan for the iphone or a non lte smartphone, your MMS will NOT work properly. additionally, you could technically have a data pay per use feature to send mms, and if you completely BLOCK the data (data opt out) then you won't have any mms service.

    ok so here is what happened

    i contacted att rep via the chat line
    told them whats up, but didnt mention easy battery saver initially
    they had me take out sim.battery, run updates, run test etc
    nothing worked
    I told them about the app, didnt really take notice of it

    they asked if i had another phone to try it with, i put the sim in the iphone 3g i had, and it still didnt send or recieve mms ...hmmmm

    att rep wanted me to return phone to BB, get another one, ....i said that does not solve the problem or find out what the f is causing the problem

    i asked them to walk through with me as i reluctantly reset my phone from scratch.

    after idid reboot, the MMS worked

    so.....bottom line, is it the Easy battery saver causng the problem?????? and if so

    why? why is a battery saving app messing with MMS

    really disappointed so far, esp because the app was thru the android market and i would have assumed that it would have worked well with a phone

    so I signed up just to post this, I recently traded my iPhone 4 for a skyrocket (love it btw) but I started to encounter a lot of message not sent errors, before I knew it calls were having troubles and people sending me texts would get errors. so I called at&t which was no help.but atleast they tried. I did a hard reset and things were working feeling on top of the world I continue with my daily life. then the problems started again.. I started thinking and trying everything on here.. when weazlenoze replied about the data plan something dawned on me, sometimes when I have wifi activated the 4g is next to it and I send messages fine other times its not there and I begin to have problems so I turned my wifi off and waited for b the 4g icon to appear. then the texts started to roll 8 texts received from up to 4 days ago (havnt left my.cave in a while) I can't just have my wifi off well simply because at&t doesn't have unlimited data plan.. so i'm stuck.. Facebook or text.. maybe this will help the community figure out this of a problem

    I know that's what I think but its the only thing that has worked for me. maybe it has to due with the changes to my data plan and will resolve its self after my next Billing cycle.

    if your phone is a 4g phone and you upgraded from 3g to 4g the problem may be that if you took your sim card from the 3g phone to the 4g phone the sim card is not compatable you need a 4g sim card for a 4g phone so check the simcard if it does not say 4g copy all your contacts and throw it away and put in the 4g sim card

    I finally figured it out! Go to your apn type and it as INTERNET+MMS! Those two arrows, one poimting up and one down is the status of sending and recieving of mms, if you don't see those bars then the message isn't sending. By putting apn type to internet+mms those bars will come on and stay on constantly which means your ready to send mms.

    Plain and simple, you CAN NOT send or receive mms messages on wifi. It must be on your Mobil network. Found this holds true on the skyrocket and the wife's sg3.
