I have a brand new Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket, and LOVE everything about it after my transition away from an iPhone. My only complaint is driving me crazy... When I plug the phone in to my PC using the provided USB cable my computer will recognize it and be happy for ~20 seconds - 1 minute and then disconnect the device. Shortly after that, it will recognize it again and reconnect, then repeat the whole process ad infinitum. I have tried connecting the phone with USB Debugging checked as well as unchecked, and have tried every USB port on my PC. I was hoping it was a driver issue, so I installed Kies, but the problem persists. I am a gamer and have many USB devices which all function perfectly on my PC, so I cannot imagine it's a problem with my rig.
Any insight?
