Using Skyrocket as a Golf GPS

Are there any Skyrocket owners out there using their phone as a a Golf GPS unit?? I have the Free Caddie app downloaded and want to know if its worth trying. Of course battery issue is the reason I'm asking.

I've used most of the apps, and keep going back to Golfshot. Its not the cheapest at $20, but is clearly the best app for functionality. I can get a round in easy and still have about 30-40% battery life left. The score and stat data and its web integration is second to none. I only wish I zoom in more to see the layout of greens more. Other than that, its flawless.

The renewal for my Skycaddie is $30, so I’m still $10 ahead of the game.

Works great as golf GPS. Use Golfshot - nice app. 18 holes uses about 50% battery. Better than my old iPhone (about the only app that's better on battery). Very fast sat sync - about 1-3 seconds, much faster than the iPhone.
