Battery use question

I got the Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket I727. I just got this updated yesterday through kies air to jelly bean 4.1.2 ... Since the update I see I have a battery percentage indicator at the top. It looks like its draining fast. Could jb use more juice than the gingerbread os ?

As with any update, it's best to let the new update go through a couple days worth of use to get acclimated with the phone.. Also, you could search for a log of improvements and updates that you got with 4.1.2, and see what new additions could cause battery drain in the future..
