Hello,

I live in Uruguay, and I still cannot get the ICA 4 update; neither with OTA or Kies. I am still Using Android 2.3.4 (as shown in Kies)

PDA:KI2 / PHONE: KI1 / CSC:KI2 (VNO)

On phone states:
Android Version: 2.3.4

Band base Version: I9100UHK1

Kernel version: 2.6.35.7-I9100UHKI2-CL553601 se.infra@SE-07 #2

Compilation Number: GINGERBREAD.UHKI2

Does anyone knows how to update the phone with an official release of the ICS 4 (so I can updated it when new upgrades appear)??

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards

Marcelo

Does your i9100 has a branded os? If so its your carrier fault.

When you turn on your phone does it says any carrier on the splash screen?

If so you need to manually install an unbranded official os to your galaxy and then you will get all the updates on time directly from Samsung.

If your phone is factory unlocked you should have received the ota update a long time ago.

Are you sure is not rooted or has a custom rom?

I don't know if it's factory unlocked, but I bought it unlocked and only got 1 updated since I bought it (aprox by last October). I bought it in USA and I am using it normally in Uruguay without any problem.

If you can help me to solve this "problem" would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I didn't know, but I deed it and my phone is working perfectly; even faster than before (not only the apps, but also it starts and shut down faster).

Up tp now I didn't had any problems with the phone..
