Can't make calls & texts until I reboot

Hello, my name is Tal. I use PAC-man ROM latest version(Build 20)
I really need a solution and couldn't find one so here it goes..
Basically, sometimes when I open my phone after sleep mode,
I can't make calls,send text. This doesn't happen after every time
I put it into sleep mode, just really frequent and sudden.
I don't know what to do.. This is really frustrating,
since I don't have time to do a reboot every single time......
Did someone run into this problem in the past and fixed it?
If so could you please post a fix?
This happend to me in other ROMs also.

Note: When this bug occurs and I attempt to make calls the proximity meter blinks.

This sounds like an issue of "LOS" (loss of service) and should be resolved by turning on airplane mode then turning it back off right away. Let us know how things go.

Hmmm....I haven't had this problem on PAC-man ROMs before. Have you tried updating the radios or did you let the dev know about this? Clean install?

This sounds like an issue of "LOS" (loss of service) and should be resolved by turning on airplane mode then turning it back off right away. Let us know how things go.

I have no clue on how to update the radio,

Let us know, we're here to help! I had similar issues with my GS2 (Sprint Epic 4g Touch) when the phone was running GB. The issue has since been fixed (not sure if its a carrier, developer or Samsung fix), but I no longer have to toggle airplane mode.

Already did that when I installed ROM.
I will do that again after discovering if the problem really is "LOS"
by turning airplane on and off.

So I was able to reproduce the problem(sorry it took so long) and it really is "LOS" so atleast
I have a temporary fix. VDub could you please teach me how to update the radio as you said earlier?
