Battery gets to 20% and dies

gets to 20% then screen starts flickering then it goes off.
had my charger port replaced not long back and got a new battery
is it my battery or the motherboard? any idea

Well, how long have you had the phone? Batteries do wear out and can show degredation after 400 or so charge cycles.
