The Samsung Galaxy S II USB OTG (USB On The Go) means that you can connect many USB Flash Memory Drives, cameras, or keyboards without rooting!

The cable you need is technically called a "Micro USB Male B to USB Female A" but sellers rarely seem to know this.

The Samsung Epic 4G Touch Tips & Tricks says:

Attaching USB Devices to the Epic 4G Touch: With the optional USB adapter, you can connect devices such as keyboards, mice and thumb drives to the Epic 4G Touch. High-powered devices and charging another device from the Epic 4G Touch’s port are not supported.

Slashgear: "you can plug USB devices such as memory sticks into the Galaxy S II, too, thanks to USB On The Go support."
Business Insider: "USB OTG adapter for use with external USB devices such as USB flash drives."

I was not even aware of this capability. It's legit. No need to be rooted. It only supports FAT32 file systems though..regardless the capability is there. Pretty nifty.
