Hi
I'm really new to smartphones (and to the forum), but I finally decided to go with one, and it will be Galaxy S + Android 2.1.
I was waiting for a phone with 3G, Wi-Fi and Digital TV (Brazilian version comes with TV) and now it has arrived.
I've been reading a lot since last week, but it's not clear to me whether Android 2.2 is already officially released by Google or not, and so this way it would be OK to update Android 2.1 to Android 2.2.
Is that a Samsung role to release a patch or something like that (besides distribute new phones already with 2.2), or it all comes to Google? Then we download Android 2.2 and install it.
Anyone knows if this update would make you loose something already installed or set on Android 2.1 or the phone itself?
Thanks in advance
