Figured. Seems like a waste to have two.

Package disable pro... does that get rid of samsung internet?

I don't mind they offer all of this stuff but if you don't want it, you should have the option to not use it.

I was afraid to get rid of samsung pass. It said, you can't sign into things, without.

seems to not be true lol

Maybe the wallet, or something? But my bank doesn't allow the wallet (Canada).

    I don't think I need it.

    1) A waste of what, exactly?

    2) You ALWAYS have the option not to use it. Right?

It takes up minor space as an app but you always have the option not to use it.

I don't understand. Why is not using it not an option? Just don't use it.

I think you're confused by the fact that calendar items are, by and large, just like text messages. They exist as things on the phone. The messaging app is just your window into those things. It doesn't matter what messaging app you use; every messaging app shows you the text messages. You can switch to a different messaging app, and all your messages are there. The messages exist in a database independent of the messaging app.

And so it is with calendars. I use the Samsung calendar, but I can independently open up the Google calendar and everything's there. It's not that the calendar items are stored inside and are part of the actual calendar app.

I use the Sammy piece to access and manage calendar items, and ignore the Google calendar app. It's there somewhere, but who cares.

I was going to use it but I didn't like it. Prefer the Google. Especially, on the Day mode.

    Yeah, that's perfectly fine.

Regardless of your choice of app to see and manage the calendar items, the phone is storing them under the hood and not in your preferred app. Ergo, any calendar app can see and manage them.

That the Samsung app is also able to manage them, then, is of no concern. It's not taking up extra space or otherwise doing anything on its own if you don't use it.
