How do you get an ico on "desktop"

I have a few apps that the ico isn't on screen, but I would like it there.

Cool ... none of that works and I don't have an "app button" like he does.

Are you definitely using a Samsung phone? Because that is how stock Samsung UI works.

I also do not have option to remove ico from home screen (and not remove app)

I get this.

Which is not near all my icons .. there was one I am trying to get, is not there.

And wanted to clean some but now I see, I can no longer do that. I can uninstall but can't Remove from Homescreen

That screen is when you go into app drawer on stock Samsung launcher and tap search bar , it acts as a search finder

Oh, I see that now. But why would it be activating automatically just with a swipe up on the homescreen?

If OP turned off app drawer it will give that option instead of app drawer , long press empty page on the home screen >choose home screen settings>home layout turn on home and app drawer

I was running Nova but switched back to OneUI and don't see anything like that.

I do have one other suggestion to @towngirl. Try changing Home Screen Layout to "Home and Apps Screen" and see if you're able to then long press an icon and drag and drop it to your home screen.

In you screenshot you have home screen only , change to home screen and apps

I tried...which I know I don't like that setting.

It rearrange my entire phone. Every folder.. took all icon out. ect. And I found the icon I was looking for but if I take it out ... and switch back ... I lose it. Tried again... and but it into a folder. It still didn't stay. SO ............. weird lol

Also... the phone was not this like, before. I could get rid of icon off home screen and i could find them. Somewhere, I lost all of this.
