How to export contacts (backup) on an S10+

I use BlackBerry Contacts file on my phone. I used to be able to just plug this phone in to my laptop and export the contacts as a .vcf file. But now when I try, it wants to save as file:///storage/emulated/0/00001.vcf and when it finishes, I get a notification at the top that it "openfailed: EPERM (Operation not permitted)." I cannot find the .vcf file anywhere. What does this mean? What can I do? I am really not wanting to back up to my Google account.
