Battery is pretty underwhelming on the plus for me.

A good initial indicator for me as to how efficiently a phone is running is how well a phone does on standby doing nothing, Samsung’s have never been that great in this regard and an iPhone or Mate 20 pro for example will sit at 100% for 2 hours or more, whereas my S9 plus or Note 9 would make just over an hour. So far my S10 plus is averaging 3% an hour drain. As always I have made an effort to tweak it and am also running a package disabler.

In use it seems ok ish but standby is leaving a lot to be desired so there must be some rogue processes running, it may just be Facebook as previously both Facebook and Facebook services could be restricted in the background on the S9/Note 9 but on the S10 I have noticed that services cannot be restricted and that really could be all the difference. Looking into dev options Samsung push is another suspect, as always it is a battle on android to know exactly what is using the most power though.

I’m going to try and look into it further later

    Mine today

2 hours, 50 mins screen on time
    5 hours, 30 mins standby

So at moment on average. I’m getting not far off 6 hours usage on screen in 3 charges...not too bad i think it’s better than my max was.

Respectfully disagree. I've had plus size phones for the past few years but went with the regular S10 this time around. Battery life is more than good enough and the ergonomics and comfort in hand is much more worth it than the extra battery life I could have with the Plus model. Just my opinion.

So, I've got about 4.5 hours of SOT and I'm at 58% remaining. Unplugged now for almost 24 hours.

    S10+ SD855 128GB Sprint

Adaptive Battery was off, I just turned it on so maybe it will be even better?

This is the best phone I've ever owned. My S7 Edge had to be charged 3 times a day.

Hey fam, go into Digital Wellbeing in Setting, then click in the circle. It will give you a graph of the week and you can choose which day you want.

Battery life is indeed amazing. I took it off the charger yesterday AM before work and it's finally at 17%. I can't recall having an Android phone with this longevity...it certainly is refreshing.

You cant judge on 100% as iPhones artificially stay on 100% and then drain faster as the battery depletes. Much more representative to leave overnight. That said Samsung standby isn't great, usually around the 2% an hour mark with AOD

You're not really, look at your pocket cast its used the equivalent of 1:15 SOT, plug that in to your 66% and you've got 3 hours SOT with 8.5 standby for 1/3 of your battery which would work out at 25 hours standby and 9 hours SOT.... you have to remember that screen on time is only part of the story, if you sat there watching videos obviously your SOT would be great

Do any of you folks do what is stated in this article??? I'm going to try only because I'd like this device to last at least 3 years without too much battery degradation.

supposedly the issue isn't battery memory ,but instead battery calibration on the actual phone.. there was a post 5+ years back on here about running the battery to 15% and turning the phone off then charging to 100% every couple months. I wish I knew the exact post, it may be in my post history, I'm sure I've commented on it
