So ive been using my s10+ for a couple days now, and the other day my phone lasted me 11+hours with a SOT of 7.5 hours. Is anyone else getting this kind of battery life with intensive usage?
Full resolution and not the 1080p one out the box? That's pretty impressive.

I keep everything turned on all the time except NFC. I don't run CPU intensive games but do a lot of news reading and forum reading. I'm getting great SOT, but I don't make any claims other than this is my experience on my phone, YMMV.

Almost a week in and my S10+ remains unremarkable and below par IMO for the battery size. Yesterday for example I went out for the evening straight from work and it was 100% at 5:15pm when I left work, I had 30-45 minutes on a train listening to spotify and generally looking at the phone on and off. It went onto flight mode for 90 minutes (I was at a football match) and when I got home just after 11pm it was just above 50%. Personally I think that is disappointing.

For comparison with phones I have owned over the last year or so I would say it is worse than the Note 9, Xs max S9+, Mate 20 pro, Mate 10 pro, View 20, Pixel 2 XL, it is also IMO slightly better than the following overall but worse for standby LG G7, V30, 3XL, iPhone X. Yes I am a phone addict!

Curiously yesterday I received a background power use warning for an app I had previously restricted in the background so maybe there are some software gremlins for Samsung to iron out, I also mentioned on a previous post that you cannot restrict facebook services (you could on the Note/SA9+) so maybe that is chewing from some power? maybe also there is a difference between SD and Exynos. Overall though I'd describe my battery as not terrible but below par.

Remove facebook and use one of the other apps... they access facebook thru the mobile web side and use way less power. I use Simple for Facebook and like it a lot.

I know there is always the option to remove FB but my point is on a level playing field the battery is not as good as the other phones mentioned. It is liveable just not as good as I think it should be.

It's all personal experience, I have owned every flagship as well and the S10+ had the best battery life out of them all including the Note 9, Xs Max. And no disabling of any app here or setting, used the phone normally like I do.

Battery life has gotten better after a week. I also didn't charge it overnight and let the battery go down to 33% and recharged it up to 100%. Doesn't seem to drain as fast. Would a smart outlet be beneficial to make sure the phone stops getting a charge once it hits 100%?

I've read that its not good to fully charge to 100% because it puts stress on the battery and ultimately shortens battery life. Also not good to do full charge/discharge cycles which kill battery life way faster.

BTW, I charge mine up to 80% and only let it go down to 30% before I recharge back to 80%. I'll let you guys know in 3 years how well this experiment goes!
