Issues with proximity sensor?

So this phone is driving me nuts, I too have the whole fps issue but I've also noticed another issue, my phone will only sometimes wake up if I pull it away from my face. Like if I go to end a phone call and pull the phone away to end the call the screen remains black. Then I gotta scramble to try to wake it up just to hang up a phone call :/ I have a uag plyo case and a Whitestone dome protector on the phone. Anyone else have problems like that? Is there a way to possibly fix it or should I do a factory reset? Or should I just say screw it and have best buy give me another phone?

Dial *#0*# to get into service mode and check the hardware there. That will tell you if it's software or hardware problem.
You can set them up to end calls with power button...

Yeah I'm having the exact opposite problem as my screen won't wake up. Idk I might just exchange it while I still can.

I'm having the same issue. It seems to be widespread at this point. Maybe screen protector related?

I exchanged mine bc I didn't want to chance it later on. So far this one seems to be doing much better
