I was surprised that, after a brief search, there didn't appear to be a thread on this subject.

Tip: If you use Smart Switch to migrate from your old device to the GS10 or GS10+, migrate everything but exclude the apps. Restore only the ones that you actually use.

Thank you for this tip!
I would also add to turn on adaptive battery, since Samsung has it turned off automatically.

I can add some stuff:
accessibility >interaction and dexterity>toggle Assistant menu on tap on it to adjust size of the floating menu, transparency and reorder of the menu. what this does is float a little icon anywhere to adjust volume, turn phone off , back/home/recent keys pull the notifications panel down and more.

Another is biometric and security>biometric preference>turn screen transition affect off for little fast response time from fingerprint sensor to home screen.

My guess on why no one has made a thread like this is cause I've seen the same 6 or 7 things in every video review, every article and every forum thread. Usually mentioned along with the power button being up too far, and how the Bixby button can't be used for Google Now. In one video with 15 things to help you with your new S10 four of them were app promotions and 3 of them were things most people were going to do anyway and the rest the same 7 things everyone is talking about. Lol

Very true. Watching them takes time and it might be easier to swim through a few threads instead.

Under Display, Navigation Bar, Full Screen Gestures.

Select Button Order.

Leave Gesture Hints enabled.

Allows swipe up gestures in place of the onscreen buttons.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S10 Tips & Tricks

If you are still using One UI launcher, below are some of my settings/tips.

Go to home screen settings:

Enable lock home screen layout to prevent accidentally messing up home screen layout.

Enable the gesture to quickly open notification panel when you are in the home screen.

Adjust your app icon badges, most importantly I like to enable the setting where pressing and holding the app icon also shows the full notification of that app. The setting is show notifications in app icon badges screen.

Add finder search icon from finder settings, so that you can add it in your dock and use it to quickly search apps.

And finally turn off that Bixby home on the left most screen if you like me don't use the bixby home screen
