Reading my flipboard came across this and wonder if believable. Posted here because... will 5G phones have own section like 10e??

https://www.forbes.com/sites/gordon...s10-plus-upgrade-camera-battery/#4730e8eb11b0

Just being massively bigger with 6.7" screen is pretty much a deal breaker for me... but 5G, faster gen ram, 4 cameras and 4500mah battery for $1200?? I'd jump at a 4500mah S10+ but in the smaller + form (I can't believe I'm calling the + "smaller")

Yeah I don't see 5G being fully rolled out across nation to be noticeable for another year or two. I'm thinking the Note 10 could be packing 5G. If they include it without making you pay extra for it I'm fine with it.

But love that we have now entered an era of battery war finally! Rumored Huawei P30 gonna have 4200ma. We are getting into solid 24-36 hour phones here.

Waiting on Note 9 info. with 4500 in 5G, I'm optimistic on a 4200 in the Note 10 (to make room for the pen) and not make it ridiculously bigger than the current Note 9. If so then I'd have to check with my AT&T rep corp pricing on it ;)

Not interested.....a bit too soon for 5G

I know Forbes gets criticized a lot too and never sure about them but I was just searching and they are probably regurgitating same info but other tech outlets are saying the same/similar even though i think one said 3 cameras on the 5G :/

Unless you live in a major city, 5G is not needed, even if you do, not sure it's worth a premium. Then 6.7 inch screen is just crazy. I suppose Samsung has gotten some crazy formula with ratio to ratio to technically call it 6.7 inch. Either way, getting stupid big. I came to the 10+ from the note 9, one reason was smaller. I enjoy the smaller S10+.

Just wait for note 10
Exactly. If 5G is in my future this year it will be the folding phone or I'll wait for the note 10. I'm not even concerned about having a 5G phone for a year or two , 5G isn't going to be Nationwide for awhile, I live in a rural area, so I have time, I'm not even sure I want 5G from some of the things I've been hearing about it

Samsung never releases prices until a day or so before they go on sale. No one knows this will be $1200. I'm going to go with $1249.99.

I work in a major city and I'm not sure I need it....lol
I'm all for faster speeds but don't have an issue with the way things work now.

I agree Mike , Im Happy with my s10+ not interested maybe if it was offered at the time I purchased but I'm good.

That is going to be Verizon. Samsung, and cell companies biggest problem. Everyone has all ready bought the S10 who wants one. Should've release the 5G version when the rest of the S10's were released (I would've gotten the 5G one). Unless they have a deal of trade in your S10+ in for the 5G version and get a certain amount off or something like that. Plus, on Verizon if you want 5G you have to pay an extra $10 a month.

I agree , it would be nice if they allow you to trade your existing s10 for that but I'm not sure they will.
10.00 extra not bad at all for 5g

I wouldn't worry about it. The first gen 5G chips being used have a few drawbacks that are to be corrected by the gen 2 chips in devices later this year, early next year. Qualcomm has already talked about this. Just enjoy your S10's. Everyone is hyping 5G, but it's really not quite ready yet. Gen 2 5G chips will consume less battery, take up much less space inside the phone, and will not be forever tied to the carrier who sells you the device. Honestly, these first generation chips sound like a dog, and Qualcomm has all but admitted that already.
