My sunset shots and early evening shots have a lot of purple in the pics. Pics taken with a regular camera at the same time look normal. Is this normal for S10? If so it sucks.

Or just upload the picture to your next post in the thread. (If you're using a web browser, go Advanced, scroll down to Manage Attachments, upload the picture.)

Without seeing the photo.... From a pure photography perspective....

This is often a problem with auto white-balance. The camera is trying to make the sky blue, which is correct for noon but not for sunset and sunrise.

The easy manual fix is to put the phone's camera in a less-auto (or manual) mode and set the white balance to "daylight" or "sunny" or 5600K or the like.

Sorry, I should have started out with I have a Galaxy S10. For just quick shots, I leave it set to the "Photo" setting with scene optimizer turned on. The only way I see to control WB manually is in the PRO setting.
After looking for pics to post, I noticed that the color change is more on the wider angle views and the zoomed is closer to the normal colors, but still with some purple.
The first pic I uploaded was taken with my S10 on a wider setting. Second pic was taken with Nikon D7100. Third is with S10 on wide setting and fourth was zoomed out. No filters were used and no color adjustment in a photo editing program.
Thanks for the replies so far.

Samsung's known for amping the colors up in their photo processing -- it might just be that.

These photos look pretty good for being taken in an auto mode. Since the camera does not know what the sunset is supposed to look like, it does a guess (educated or not). To get the camera to give you the sunset that your eyes are seeing, you will need to take the camera out of auto mode.
