There is no option for this in the photo editor.

I understand you have to associate your gmail account with Samsung's email app.

I was confused about how to do that because something like gmail g suite came up and I know nothing about that.

How do I get a prompt to resize images before I email them?

How big are the images? The attachment size limit for an email on Gmail is 25 MB, which should allow you to attach around 5 or 6 standard photos.

If the stock photo editor doesn't allow you to resize, try Snapseed.

They're not huge. They're the default jpg 4:3 images (or cropped) from the S10e.

The Note 4 allowed you to resize easily - part of the camera app.

Thanks...and, by the way, I love Snapseed.

If the email supports it, and there is more than one, it may offer to choose Original, large, medium, etc and show how large it will be for all images.

Google Photos, Gallery or Adobe offer ways to resize as well as Snap.

For the best quality resizing, I still revert to Paint.net on my PC. It's a bit more work, transferring the picture back and forth, but I've posted some pretty large pictures here, reduced to pretty small ones, without much loss of quality. (Of course, it depends on what they're going to be used for at the other end. Viewing on a cellphone? anything more than the screen resolution is wasted. For printing a 16" X 20" picture, the resolution should be 1600 x 1200 pixels minimum.)

If by "Gallery" you mean the Gallery in the S10e, I see no option for resizing. Here is a screenshot of an image I wanted to resize in my phone, using the built-in Photo Editor.Resizing images from S10e for emailing-photo-editor-screenshot.jpg

    Thank you.

I'm mainly interested in making images smaller in dimensions for emailing.

Been a long time ago you posted this, but in the photo above, if you click on the three dots on the upper right at this screen, you should get a resize option.
