Because it'll be a software security nightmare even when it happens, and places like sports arenas will still have trouble...

4G Enhanced LTE is not "5G" either.

Verizon is supposedly going to drop CDMA in favor of 5G

Apple is not set to have their 5G modem SoC until 2022, right?

Behind the fact that AT&T has no active 5G plans at the moment.

No active 5g plans? They already are putting up nodes for 5g and 5g+ in select cities on a limited basis but still. Verizon has less than that and they have both phones out. T-Mobile and sprint both have the s19 5g out to buy

Yes there will be issues with any new tech but they are doing it making small progress. No one said 5ge was 5g. Verizon is already putting up nodes for mmwave in a few cities and promises 30 cities by the end of the year. Apple may not have their own modem but that doesn’t mean that they won’t use Qualcomm’s
