Is RCS for Messages working for you?

With the recent news that Google is rolling out RCS to everyone in the U.S. today using the Google Messages app (https://www.androidcentral.com/google-rolling-out-rcs-all-android-users-us-today) I thought I would start a thread to see who's seeing this functionality go live for them. Name your phone model and carrier.

I'll start: nothing for me yet, TMO S10+

I have been using the hack from a few weeks ago. I works on all of my phones.

Is there another thread how to properly install this beta? I watched a video last night of someone installing it but it required like 9-10 steps. It was so long I fell asleep.

I needed to uninstall and reinstall google messages, wait a few minutes, and then I was able to enable "Chat Features" in settings.

I enabled so I guess when they roll it out to Verizon I'll be notified.

This morning, i checked and it was there, turned it on... now as Im trying to show my friend how to do it so we could test it out... it's saying unavailable again. Note8 Verizon. His S8 ATT&T says unavailable.

When I did it earlier I got a "we'll let you know when it's installed" type of massage.

mine said something similar but I never got a message and went to settings where its saying unavailable again. whats going on here?

Strange as I uninstalled Messages and reinstalled and was able to enable chat features. Now I just checked again and saying it's unavailable again...*scratches head*

I have an unlocked Phone my carrier is Verizon I don't really know much about RCS but have read about it. I was going to download Google Messaging and see but never did.

Mine was disabled but now I checked and its enabled.

TMO MVNO (Mint Mobile). Still trying to set up. (Since the unofficial "fix" cam out. Now with the official release, no change. Even on my GV number, forwarding texts to the phone - it won;t work either way.)

I have an Unlocked Samsung S10 + on Sprint and I got the Unavailable message myself. I too am puzzled as to the reason why.

Personally my thinking is that RCS is unavailable because I am using the Google Messaging app instead of the pre-installed Samsung Messaging app.
